Pretty Little Beauty Swap Reveal!

Back in July I stumbled across a beauty swap hosted by Southern Beauty Guide & Sleepy Single Girl
I was assigned to Aimee from Bows & Beau-Ties, and I love everything she got me!

How cute is that bag! I love little cosmetic bags, especially ones that are plastic-y because they wipe off lovely! She also sent me: Burt's Bees Lip Crayon in Sedona Sands, e.l.f. Smudge Pot in Ain't that Sweet, and a Sally Hansen I <3 Nail Art Pen in Magenta.

Some close ups! (And I think a bit blurry. Pfft! That totally describes my entire day today!). But look how beautiful those colors are!

Here are a few swatches. The Burt's Bees Sedona Sands is on the left, in real life the color is way more pink/neutral and not so orange-y (but no matter the color editing, it wouldn't show correctly). It is also so very hydrating! I love that it is a light coverage, I'm learning that my lips like a more lighter coverage lip product (much to my own dismay!). The e.l.f. Smudge Pot in Ain't that Sweet is beautiful! It's a very light shimmer/pearl pink-ish color. I know that this is a shadow, but I can totally see me using it as a highlighter as well. :) Multi-tasking products are always fantabulous!

I really loved this swap and everything Aimee sent me! Thank you Aimee! Check out the box that I sent over at Bows & Beau-Ties.

CG Books & Bloggers Swap Reveal!

Remember when I said I was joining another book swap through Chaotic Goddess Swaps? Well, today is the reveal day! Yay! And I am so excited with what I received!

First off I would like to thank Chaotic Goddess Swaps for putting together yet another amazing swap!

Second I want to thank Katie, my swap partner from Life with the D's, for some amazing books (and chocolate!).

Book 1: The Cellar by Natasha Preston is the book that Katie has read but thought it sounded really good. And I agree, after reading the back I'm very interested.

Book 2: Gone Too Far by Natalie D. Richards is the book that Katie has read and she really liked it! I am very intrigued and excited to read it.

Book 3: Winter's Tale by Mark Helprin and this is from my wishlist, and it is huge! I'm excited to read it but I had no idea how big it was! Hahahaha! (so those tied up books, Winter's Tale is the same thickness as those three books!)

The extras: Katie sent me three more books! They are ones that she has never gotten around to reading and thought I would enjoy them (Remember Me by Sophie Kinsella, Somebody Else's Daughter by Elizabeth Brundage, and Fearless Fourteen by Janet Evanovich). She also sent me some beautiful note cards and a gorgeous owl necklace! (two things I collect!). Oh and chocolate, some which has already been eaten and some of them currently being eaten as I type! :)

I love all the books I received and am excited to read them!

Thank you so much Katie!

Epic Nail Mail of Epic Proportions!

So, I have this amazing polish buddy, Ali from Fixin' to Faff, and she has sent me some EPIC nail mail! She lives over in England where she can get some of the real goods. I found out that she was coming to Texas to visit family and I asked her if she could bring me some goodies. And oh how she delivered! See that big FedEx box? It's huge! In side of that was another box! (makes me think of Yzma from Emperor's New Groove). I have shown them next to a bottle of China Glaze Fairy Dust for comparison. Also, the little note pad on the top is to cover mailing info.

Are you ready to see what's inside?

Look! British candy! Mmmmmmm! I love these! But look how packed this box is. I wonder what's in it?

Oooh! Look at those bottles! Eeek! So excited! Let's open them up! (which took awhile and I squee'd each time!)

Boom baby! Check it out! I now have the complete BarryM Gelly Collection along with the Matte Collection! Two MoYou plates (Bridal 06 and Fashionista 08) and a super cute owl! The owl came from a stall at the Newent Onion Fayre. It's now sitting next to my other little polish buddies that watch/guard my polish.

I am so freakin' excited! Happy dance and Kermit the Frog arms flailing all about!

Top Row BarryM Matte Collection: Espresso, Malibu, Miami, Caramel, Waikiki, Crush, Vanilla, Cancun, Copa Cabana, Rhossili, and Mocha.

Second Row BarryM Gelly: Elderberry, Dragon, Coconut, Sugar Apple, Olive, Rose Hip, Huckleberry, Blueberry, Prickly Pear, Key Lime, and Damson.

Third Row BarryM Gelly: Almond, Satsuma, Green Berry, Pink Punch, Blue Grape, Passion Fruit, Mango, Kiwi, Papaya, and Blood Orange.

Fourth Row Gelly: Chai, Cocoa, Mustard, Chilli, Cardamom, and Paprika. An extra sparkly of BarryM Rose Quartz Glitter!

And they all get their own special box! I can only fit one more in there! This also includes the eleven BarryM polishes I already own. :)

This makes my heart super happy! Thank you so much Ali! You are so awesome! Best swapping buddy ever!

Hey Owlets! Sorry I have been MIA the last few days. Things have been kind of crazy lately and I'm trying my best not to let myself drown in it all.
But! I do have an awesome swap reveal to show you all!

I got my books from my swap with Kati from Kati Konfidential. I love how Chaotic Goddess Swaps work their swaps. It is such a fun and organized swap! Can't wait to do another!

So, here's an overall photo, but let's delve a bit deeper shall we?

Next is Orphan Train by Christina Baker Kline. This is the book Kati sent because she was interested in it. Guess what.......I have been walking past this book at Target and it keeps telling me to buy it! And I almost did! So glad I didn't! Great minds think alike!

The last book is awesome because it is the second book to one that I received in my last swap! Win! This is the book Kati got me off my wishlist! Midnighters Touching Darkness by Scott Westerfeld. Can't wait to read it!

Um, this little extra is so perfect! You all know I love owls, but I also hoard collect journals! So this is just icing on the cake! Thank you Kati!

And then check out these totally cute guys! Bookmarks! I love them! I literally squealed! I'm always look for bookmarks and owl ones are even better!

Nail Mail Swap with Ali from Fixin' to Faff!

So when I opened up my Store Envy Shop I had one amazing customer who made two orders! She is the sweetest lady ever! She has helped me a lot with my depression and anxiety and we have bonded a lot because of it. Sadly, she is in England (but from Texas) so I sent her purchases to her parent's in Texas. And I asked her if she could bring some things from across the pond for me when she came to visit Texas! She said yes! So here are the amazing things that I got from Ali from Fixin' to Faff:

More MoYou plates! Cheaper shipping to the UK! This is Sci-Fi Collection 02. Robots! And look at that robot owl! So cute!

Sci-Fi Collection 01. Cute little monsters/aliens! Oh and we are going to do some twin nails with these plates soon!

BarryM Gellys! Watermelon, Grapefruit, and Lychee!

More BarryM Gellys! Guava, Blackberry, and Pomegranate.

I got my gellys! I got my gellys! I got my gellys! I have been lemming these for ever! They are gorgeous and fabulous for stamping!

Look at this cute little guy! This is Chubby Owl Polish Majestic Moonstone. Ali got me this because she thought of me when she saw the owl! This polish is gorgeous! Chubby Owl Polish is a UK Indie!

Um, how stinkin' cute are these little owls that she gave me! Can't wait to try them out! Adorable!

I then asked her for these candies, they are so delicious, even if they do have some questionable images on them. Weird!!

And then I find out my dad bought me a box of them for my birthday! I've been so happy!

Thank you so much Ali you are so awesome and amazing! I love them all!

Books 'n' Bloggers Swap Reveal!

Hey Owlets! Sorry I have been MIA the last few days. Reworking the meds.......it sucks.....but, I think they might be working! Crossing fingers! But I was not able to prepare anything else this week and possibly next week. We shall see.

But! I do have an awesome swap reveal to show you all!

http://cgswaps.blogspot.com/2014/02/books-n-bloggers-swap-show-off-link-up.html

So I told you last month I was participating in this Book Swap by Chaotic Goddess Swaps (you need to check them out! Awesome swaps to sign up for!) and today is the reveal day! Woot woot!

First off, my swap buddy was Cook's Reviews. And she is awesome! We have such similar taste in books, when I saw her wish list it could have passed as mine! So the swap partner setup that Chaotic Goddess set up was perfect!

The basic rules of the swap:

Send your partner three books:
1. A book you love
2. A book you haven't read but are interested in
3. A book from your partner's wish list

This is what I got! So excited!

1. Book my swap buddy loves: A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness. I have never heard of this book, but I am very intrigued. It has amazing illustrations and after reading reviews I can't wait to read it!

2. A Book my swap buddy hasn't read but is interested in: The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern. Ok, so I don't remember if this was on my wish list or not. But I have been eyeing this book for awhile now ever since A Girl and Her Polish did a mani inspired by it. I seriously almost bought it last week! So I am thrilled that she sent this!

3. A book of my wish list: The Midnighters: The Secret Hour by Scott Westerfield. I have been wanting to read this book (series) for a while now and our library didn't have it.  So I am super excited! I also think it's funny that I gave her a Scott Westerfield book in the swap too! Great minds think alike! :)

I also got this awesome bookmark! I love it! Look! It's an owl! Sa-weet!

This was such an awesome experience and a neat idea! There is going to be another book swap in June so make sure you check out Chaotic Goddess Swaps for more info!

I want to thank my swap buddy at Cook's Reviews for the awesome (wow, how many times can I say this word in this post? Maybe I should have asked for a thesaurus!) swap! I love it all and can't wait to read them! Thank you!
