Irresistible Me Royal Remy Hair Extension Review

Hello Owlets, it's almost been two full months since I last posted (I will explain all of that in another post) and today I have for you a different kind of review. Sorry about the photo quality. I believe my camera is dying a slow and horrible death. Maybe I should ask Santa for a new one!

I was contacted by Irresistible Me to review a product of theirs, hair extensions. My curiosity was peaked, hair extensions + pixie cut? Is that possible? I goggled and searched and you tubed and was only able to find a few with my length of hair. Hmmmm, I thought, interesting, I wonder.....let's play!

So the extensions come in the box shown in previous photo. They then come in these cool looking zippered pouch. Why the two compartments? Well, the smaller one holds one clip in extensions that you can take out and test the color before opening up the entire package. How cool is that? If you chose the wrong color you would simply return it and that larger bundle could be used again! How thoughtful and very economic.

Here is the clip in that you use to check to make sure you chose correctly. And I did! As you can see it also comes with extra clips that you can replace lost ones if needed, like the little bag of buttons that come with fancy shirts.

I chose Royal Remy Hair in Medium Brown (#4), 14 inches, and the 200g set as it gives more pieces.

Next I am showing you the four different clip in pieces that you receive.

This is the largest and obviously the fullest and heaviest piece. This four clip in gives a lot of volume.

These are the three clips. I liked to use these first to give my hair a more natural look.

Five two clip clip ins. These are great fillers to help blend the hair all together.

And finally, two one clips. These are great to use to fill in as well, I only wish there were more of these.

A closeup of the clips. They are those bendy kinds, so they are easy to put in. This closeup also shows some of the different colors in the hair which gives it a much more natural look.

So here is me rocking my own hair (and an awesome shirt!). My hair here is longer than I normally have it, I'm due for a hair cut. But I figured this length would blend better than even shorter hair. (ugh! I hate taking pictures of myself!)

Ok, now I am in no way an expert on hair extensions, I know these don't look all perfect; but I think I did a fantabulous job putting these in.

It was so fun to wear them around. I haven't had long hair in over 20 years, and then it wasn't even this long. I felt like a mermaid! :)

As you can see, the color is perfect! As is the thickness/volume of the hair, meaning I don't have a poof of hair around my shoulders. They weren't heavy and there was no pulling (except for me pulling hair off my lips when it would get stuck in lip gloss. New experience for me).

I am definitely wearing these more often. I think I'm going to take them to my hairdresser to get them trimmed/styled a bit so they frame my face more. Still deciding. But you can color and curl these, possibilities are endless!

I had no issues with the extensions (well, one of the clips came loose but one little stitch and it's fixed, no problem) and would absolutely recommend anyone and everyone who's ever been interested in trying hair extensions to go through Irresistible Me. They also have other products on their site: styling tools, hair care products, and accessories. A little bit of something for everyone.

Thank you Irresistible Me for letting check something off my bucket list of having tried hair extensions!

Barielle Fall 2014: Jetsetter Review

Have a new collection from Barielle to show you today, this is the Jetsetter Collection and it is gorgeous! This collection "embraces the cool, crisp tones of this perfect time of year. The rich hues of the color palette let your fingers travel to many exciting spots and capture the essence of this wonderful time of year" (Barielle press release).

Kiss Me Kate: "a creamy beige/pink". This is a gorgeous polish. I love it! It's perfect for me and creates mannequin hands! This is one fabulous coat! Perfection!

Autumn in Seoul: "a deep, copper shimmer". Oooh! This is such a warm cozy perfect brown polish that screams fall! It is beautiful! It is a bit streaky and needed two coats to be completely opaque. I can't wait to use this this season!

Irish Eyes: "a creamy, moss green". What a stunner! I have a lot of greens in my collection but I really love this color! This is one coat! The formula was perfect! Such a calming color!

Rain in Spain: "a creamy, light periwinkle". This is a beautiful color, a bright crisp color. It is a bit more purple in real life. The formula on this one was a bit thicker than the others, this is one coat, but you can see the different thicknesses on my nails as it didn't really level out for me. I'm sure two coats would make it better.

Gondola Ride: "a creamy, sage green". A celery green! Yay! I love it! but this color was kind of sheer, this is three coats. But it's worth it, so pretty!

Midnight in Paris: "a creamy, midnight blue/purple". Rarely do blues really speak to me, but this one is stunning! I did a little gasp as I wore this. It's so deep and mysterious and beautiful! This is two coats.

I created a dotticure using the Jetsetter Collection. I really love how dotticures allow you to use so many colors. And all these colors are beautiful together! I really like this collection. I had a few issues with some of the formulas but none too bad as to never use again. Barielle, you've done it again! Fabulous job!

All of Barielle polishes contain no formaldehyde, toluene, dibutyl-phthalate, camphor, or formaldehyde-resin. They are 0.45 fl oz (13.3ml) and are suggested retail at $8.00. You can find them at Barielle.com

Barielle Fall 2014: Me Couture Review

Barielle's Me Couture Collection for Fall 2014 embraces the high fashion colors for this rich season of the year. A sophisticated palette combination of retro and intense shades totally compliments current styles and trends" (Barielle Press Release).

This is Taupe Notch, "a creamy, dark taupe".  Yes! That's all I can say. This is a gorgeous beautiful polish with a fabulous formula! This is two coats without a top coat. I could have gotten away with just one coat.

See! Just look at this color! Stunning! I love it!

This is Berry Posh, "a creamy, deep fuchsia". Barielle and their pinks are always gorgeous! This is two coats no top coat. The first coat was a bit sheer, so a second coat is needed.

I had no issues with the formula on this one. Just beautiful!

This is Moda Bleu, "a creamy, dark navy/blue". This is a really deep blue an almost blurple color. Look at the shine on this one too! This is two coats and no top coat!

I did have some slight issues with the formula on this one. Moda Bleu seems to be a bit thicker than the others and had a lot of drag marks with my first coat. But the second coat evens it all out.

This is Soho at Night, "a creamy, grape purple". I almost put this as a dusty grape purple. Beautiful, two coats and no top coat.

This one acted a little like Moda Blue in that the formula of Soho at Night is a bit thicker and definetely needs two coats to even out.

Here we have Boho Chic, "a creamy, deep sea green". I love this color. Almost has a hint of teal to it, gorgeous! Two coats and no top coat and super shiny!

No issues with this formula, gorgeous and fabulous!

This is Vintage Gown, "a creamy, rust with a hint of pink". This is a really pretty color, two coats and no top coat.

This photo shows the more true color. There is shimmer in the bottle but it didn't really show up on my nails. But the formula was still fabulous!

All of Barielle polishes contain no formaldehyde, toluene, dibutyl-phthalate, camphor, or formaldehyde-resin. They are 0.45 fl oz (13.3ml) and are suggested retail at $8.00. You can find them at Barielle.com

Review: JORD Wood Watch

Today I have a slightly different type of review for you today. I was contacted by JORD to review one of their watches. Funny thing is, I was actually looking for a new watch the day before. I said I would love to and went and looked at their site. On their site they have live chat help and I had a fabulous experience with one of their watch specialists named Justine. She was able to help me to decide which color to go with. I wear a lot of black for my job and wanted something that would look really nice and there are many beautiful watches to choose from for both men and women!

This is the beautiful watch that I chose with Justine's help. This is Ely Maple. And it is one of the most beautiful timepieces that I have ever seen!

The watch came in a sturdy box with a cushion. The watch itself is super light! I was really surprised at this! I mean, I knew it wasn't going to be heavy but was not expecting how light it is! And the faceplate is the perfect size for my wrist!

This is more true to life color. I took this with my iPhone. What I love about this watch (among many things) is that the back of the watch isn't metal! That means many people who have allergies to metal watches will love this! The clasp has only a small bit of metal (I still have the blue film on it, I don't want to wreck it!) (the blue film is like the ones you find on stamping plates.)

I was asked if I could create a mani inspired by the watch. I decided to create a winter-like forest by following ChristabellNails' Grey Tree Nails Tutorial. I am really happy with how it turned out. It's perfect for the upcoming season. I love fall and winter. Everything is cool and cozy and not 100+ degrees! It's a perfect gift idea for the holidays!

I've worn this watch every day since I received it and I am always getting compliments! It's such an unusual concept, a wooden watch, but it is gorgeous. And it is very stylish. I've had no issues with the watch, I did have to take out a link on either side to have it fit me properly.

I used OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls as my base. The trees are created with OPI My Pointe Exactly and Misa Grey Matters. I stamped using Konad Grey and Winstonia W115.

Thank you so much JORD for this opportunity to review such a wonderfully crafted timepiece.

Review: Mont Bleu Nail Files

So about a month ago I received an email from Mont Bleu asking if I would like to review some items, specifically glass nail files. I looked into the company and thought they were really pretty files. I accepted the offer to review some products. All they asked was what colors I preferred, I told them green. But little did I know how amazing these were going to be and how great a company Mont Bleu was!

First, let's look at the two files they sent for me to review. The bigger file is 5.32 inches long and is called Waterfall Color Green (WC-M12). The smaller on is 3.54 inches long and is called Waterfall Green (W-S12). They both feel really sturdy too. As you can see they both come in nice velvet cases so the file doesn't snag on anything when you carry them around in your purse!

Look how pretty! I love the colors and the Swarovski crystal elements! Mont Bleu glass files have a lifetime guarantee on the filing surface. They are made of Czech tempered glass and can be cleaned by running them under the water. Before I got these I was using the Sephora brand glass file and I like these Mont Bleu files a lot more. I feel that they are a finer grit and file more smoothly. Also, hello, I look fabulous when I file because of the bling! I would totally recommend these files! They are about the same price as the Sephora one, the larger file running around $12 US.

Also in the box was a pair of tweezers! Squee! It matches my files! This is Simple Green 1 Tweezers (CT-01.5). Made of stainless steel with a slanted tip.

I have been using the same ol' Revlon tweezers for over 15 years! Eeks! I feel really special because these are so pretty and fancy! And they work great too!

And that wasn't all they sent! This is a beautiful compact mirror (please excuse my light box reflection!). This compact (Circle silver "Sun" Peridot ACSP-01.4) is made of plastic but is very sturdy with a standard mirror and a magnifying mirror. It is 3.31 by 2.91 inches. Perfect carrying size! All the crystals seem to be really glued on, so that's good! And again, all my products match! How cool is that!?

Isn't it purdy!

And last but not least there in the box were a pair of earrings! Gorgeous Austrian Crystal Earrings (EMB11.3) with Swarovski elements! Hypo-allergenic metal and 0.24 inches. These are so beautiful! The colors are just so rich and deep! I get a lot of compliments when I wear these to work! I love that they have so many colors in them (hence rainbow) and are a change from my normal clear crystal earrings that I wear. These really dress up an outfit! :)

Thank you so much to Mont Bleu for sending me such wonderful products to review! The quality of your products are fabulous!
