The Digit-al Dozen Does Brands Week - Victoria's Secret

Ok, so I saved the best for last! I asked my niece what other brands should I do. Well, she works at Victoria's Secret, so she suggested that and I had to include the PINK line. I thought and thought about how to pull it off. I check the internet for different ideas and found a few to get me started: this one really helped out, I don't know who it is by so I can't give credit. If you know, please let me know!

For the PINK nail I used two coats Milani White on the Spot. I used a pink Sharpie for the words and Wet 'N Wild Black Creme to create the "dog". Yep, I call that thing very loosely a dog because it's more like a blob with legs? Hahahaha!

For the blingy nail I used three coats of China Glaze Glistening Snow and two coats of China Glaze Techno. I love how it turned out! So blingy and perfect for Victoria's Secret! I then used an Essence Nail Art Tattoo pen that I found at Ulta to create the V and S. Let me tell you, that pen is awesome! So much more precise than a Sharpie! Need to get me some more to have on hand!

For my over-the-top ring finger I used two coats of Color Club He Loves Me. Since I don't have much practice with rhinestones I had to ask around how to get that many rhinestones onto to my nail and have them stay. I used a regular top coat (Sally Hansen) that took longer to dry and placed the stones on individually to recreate the stripes that you find on their bags! So I'm not really into 3D items on my nails, but I love this!

On my pinkie I used two coats of Sinful Colors VIP and dotted it with Color Club He Loves Me. All topped off with HK Girl Top Coat. You guys, I really didn't want to take this off! This is the first mani in a really long time that I really really loved! I didn't want to take it off!

Had to show you a macro of the too blingy nails! How cool are they! Bah! I love them!

The Digit-al Dozen Does Brands Week - Taco Bell

Today I have for you Taco Bell! Do you remember the little chihuahua from the Taco Bell commercials? I loved her! Miss her too, found out he died a few years ago in 2009.

I started with two coats of Milani White on the Spot I then created the speech bubble using OPI My Vampire is Buff (yep, that's right! I finally bought it! Woot! Woot!) and used a Sharpie to write "¡Yo quiero Taco Bell!". I stamped using Barielle My Tan Blazer and used Wet N Wild Black Creme for her eyes and Sugar Bubbles SB013 plate. I did a stamping decal because I wasn't sure how well My Tan Blazer would stamp and show up. So I tested it, liked it and then just used that one! For the Taco Bell logo I used China Glaze First Mate, Barielle Sexy Mood, and Sinful Colors Bananappeal. All topped off with HK Girl Top Coat!

Below is my favorite Taco Bell commercial!

The Digit-al Dozen Does Brands Week - M&Ms

The Digit-al Dozen are back in the house! This week is all about Brands, and today I thought I would start out with some M&Ms! The magical cure all pills! Right? Don't M&Ms just make you feel better?

So, sadly, this did not turn out as I had planned. But such is life, I ate some M&Ms and edited the photos anyways! :) Hahahaha! I used two coats of Milani White on the Spot for my base with: Color Club Mamba (red), Barielle Fire Me Up (orange), China Glaze First Mate (blue), China Glaze Starboard (green), and OPI Get In The Expresso Lane (brown). All topped off with HK Girl Top Coat.
*edit: I used a white Sharpie paint pen. It wasn't the best idea, kind of pooled paint all over.

So what do you think? Do you like M&Ms? What are your favorite kinds? I love peanut butter and the plain ones! And I love trying out the seasonal ones they have been putting lately!

Nail-Art-A-Go-Go Challenge Day 1: Achromatic

Another challenge? Yep, Let's see if I can make it through this one! It's for all of February with some pretty awesome prompts. If you need info or want to join check out Gnarly Gnails.

So today's prompt is Achromatic. Huh? Had to look that up. "Designating color perceived to have zero saturation and therefore no hue, such as neutral grays, white, or black" (source)

Ah yeah! Greys! Perfect! Now what to do. Hmmmmmm. Well, interesting enough with my recent med changes I got put on Zoloft. My sister said aw, you're the sad little bubble rock guy. Yep, that's me!

Here is my Achromatic Zoloft guy. Look, he's anxious and sad. But isn't he still cute! Hahahaha! I hope this doesn't offend anyone. But he fits, achromatic are greys and blacks and in depression that's how you feel, and darkness, and sadness, a heaviness. So I thought it fit, and he's cute!

I used Essence Romeo (two coats) and a black sharpie. You can see I goofed a bit on his face but it's ok, it adds character! :) And check it out, I have a light box! Purdy pictures huh!

Don't forget to check out the others and their Achromatic nails!

Doctor Who: Impossible Astronaut Day

For some reason, that I can't remember, I have these pictures on my camera of my mani and hands covered in tally marks. Why is this? I don't remember doing this? Why am I holding River Song's journal? What is going on?

I wish I knew what was going on. But I can tell you that I did use Zoya Shay (two coats) and China Glaze Matte Magic. But for some reason I have used a sharpie to make tally marks.............

Why does Amy Pond have tally marks? What's going on? Why don't I remember doing this?

Indie Month Day 14 and The Digit-al Dozen Does Geek - Pi Day

Day 4 of The Digit-al Dozen Does Geek (and continuing my Indie Month) we have Pi Day! Yep! Pi = 3.14 or today's date of 3/14 (March 14!). Oh yeah! How cool is that! :) This mani was a given when I found out that our Digit-al Dozen week would fall on this day!

Do you see what I did here? Pi....pie. :) This is a Lacquistry Winterberry mathematical pi(e)!

I used OPI Don't Pretzel My Buttons (two coats) as my base. On my index finger I used OPI Berlin There Done That as the pie markings. And then used a black Sharpie to make the Pi symbol and the numbers. I used Lacquistry Winterberry to create pie wedges on my middle and ring fingers. I applied two coats of Winterberry (with no base color) to my pinkie.

Lacquistry Winterberry was part of her Holiday 2012 line and is gorgeous! And applied like only a Lacquistry polish can.....fabulously! And it is unique to my collection.

Bottle shot of Lacquistry Winterberry.

You can purchase other gorgeous polishes from Lacquistry at her etsy store (she is restocking with her new line soon!)
And don't forget to check out Lacquistry Facebook page to be kept up-to-date!

Indie Month Day 11 and The Digit-al Dozen Does Geek - Cult TV Mash Up!

Welcome to another fabulous week of The Digit-al Dozen! This week it is Geek themed! Yes! I got to pick the theme and there were many many groans. But tough ladies! This week is going to be so epic it's ridiculous! Everyone's manis are going to be great!

So let's start off with some polishes shall we? These are all one coat each. (l-r) NerdLacquer Gorramit, NerdLacquer I Aim to Misbehave, Cult Nails Time Traveler, and Cult Nails Power Thief. Can you see what theme I'm going for here? Or is it still a bit vague?

Sorry for the slightly blurry nails. It would seem that the NerdLacquers are so fabulous that the camera can't even focus on them! But as you can see you could pretty much get away with just one coat of each of these polishes! But a second coat adds so much more depth and glory!

See the depth and glory? :) Two coats each. Such an interesting skittle no? What can she be doing you ask yourself. Well, the two NerdLacquers are both from the Serenity Trio (Shiny being the third). But the other two? Huh?

Boom! Ah-yeah! You get it now? A mash up of two epic cult TV shows! Boo-yah! Firefly (first two nails) and Doctor Who (last two nails)! I had to do both! My index finger has the first line of the Firefly theme song: "Take My Love....". My middle finger is (suppose to be) the logo from the ship Serenity. My ring finger is a T.A.R.D.I.S. and my pinkie is the Doctor Who theme song! Blam!

Polishes used:
Index: NerdLacquer Gorramit and a black Sharpie.
Middle: NerdLacquer I Aim to Misbehave, Jessica Pumpkin Delight, KleanColor Metallic Yellow, and Catrice Lost in Mud.
Ring: Cult Nails Time Traveler and Milani White on the Spot.
Pinkie: Cult Nails Power Thief and a black Sharpie.

These Indies all applied perfectly without any problems!

All of these four Indies are unique to my collection. Cult Nails Power Thief might have some close dupes maybe more like relatives but nothing with that much shimmer!

LOSTathon: Season 3

Day 3 = Season 3 LOSTicure

I had so many ideas to do for this season but could really only think to do one. The one scene that still hits me today. Charlie writing on his hand to warn them that it's not Penny's boat to come and save them. Charlie holding up his hand to the window of the door as the water is rushing all around him. Charlie as he drowns. :'(

Here is my representation of season 3 of LOST:

Thumb: is the water that Charlie drowns in.
Pointer-Pinkie: is the final message of Charlie. Not Penny's Boat.

Here are the technicals for the mani:

Thumb: Sally Hansen Deep Blue Sea (a little sheer but that's ok)
Pointer-Pinkie: Zoya Shay and a black Sharpie (just like Charlie always used).

What did I love about this season?
-The Dharma van!
-Richard (good looking man!)
-Juliette
-Desmond's time traveling

What did I hate about this season?
-Charlie died! To this day I think it is one of the saddest moments of the whole show. I loved Charlie!
-Benjamin Linus and his evil ways!
-Alex and her whiny attitude!(and she gets shot! Feel a little bad for Ben at this point....a little)
-Juliette (yep liked and hated her!)
-Ben shooting Locke

There are many other people and scenes and drama and experiences and stories that I loved in this season and many more that I hated too.  But Charlie's death is the main thing that sticks out for me.

Stay tuned for tomorrow's season 4!
