ABC: D is for Diamond Cosmetics Chainmail Charm

Ok, so the D for today's post comes from the company name: Diamond Cosmetics. The polish name is Chainmail Charm. This is a lovely charcoal holo. Looks more sparkly in the photos, but there is some holo in real life! Just not as much as I had hoped for.

In this slightly blurry photo you can see some holo on my index finger. See it? I promise it's there! Either way the polish is really pretty in real life and the formula is fabulous! :)

Indie Month Day 13 and The Digit-al Dozen Does Geek - The Legend of Zelda

Day 3 of The Digit-al Dozen Does Geek (and continuing my Indie Month) we have The Legend of Zelda featuring Dollish Polish Legend of Zelda Duo. I also had to do this mani because Zelda is a huge deal in my family. I remember playing the game (still do) when it first came out on the original Nintendo!

For those of you not blessed of hearing of or playing this game here is a very brief summary of the storyline for the very first game, The Legend of Zelda (taken from Zelda Universe)
Ganon, the King of Evil, breaks free from the Dark World and captures Hyrule's beloved Princess Zelda. Before she is caught, Zelda manages to shatter the Triforce of Wisdom and scatter its eight pieces throughout Hyrule. Link swears to recover the Triforce pieces and rescue Princess Zelda from Ganon's clutches.

Here is (index finger) two coats of Dollish Polish The Hero of Time over two coats of Catrice King of Greens. I also put two coats of Dollish Polish Hylian Princess over two coats of OPI Steady As She Rose. Look how fabulous the glitter applied! As you can see Hylian Princess is more packed with glitter than The Hero of Time. But both are gorgeous! And both are super easy to apply with no glitter fishing!

I created Zelda images by printing off small pictures (sizing them to my nail size) and then painting over top of them into a page protector. I thought about doing Link's sword but decided against it.

So here we have the iconic Zelda images applied to my nail. For Link's shield I used Diamond Cosmetics Concrete Jungle as the base with China Glaze First Mate, OPI Candlelight, and Zoya Sooki. For the Triforce I used OPI Candlelight and Wet N Wild Black Creme.

Hylian Princess is totally unique in my collection. The Hero of Time, I have a few other green/brown glitters but the application/formula of this one is just fabulous! But you can never have too many green/brown glitters in my opinion!

You can buy this polish duo for $17.50 (when it is restocked) over at the Dollish Polish store.

Indie Month Day 12 and The Digit-al Dozen Does Geek - Star Wars

Day two of The Digit-al Dozen Does Geek! (also still continuing my Indie Month!) Today is Star Wars! Woot! Had to do these because in my house Star Wars is pretty dang popular.

I started out with two coats of Diamond Cosmetics Concrete Jungle. I then applied three coats of Rainbow Polish Sky Walker on my index finger. These is from Rainbow Polish's Star Set 2. And it is lovely! No fishing for glitter either!

Here is what Rainbow Polish says about Sky Walker:
This Luke Skywalker inspired polish named Sky Walker starts with a slightly milky blue base containing small blue glitters, blue"lightsaber" glitter bars, white square glitters and small blue dust glitter.

Little fact that Lukes lightsaber was changed from blue to green after he lost it and built his own. In the duel with Darth Vader it is blue. Pair with Dark Side and your fingers can duel :-)
And that is exactly what I did! They are dueling with two lightsabers! With light sparks flying off. I used Essence Let's Get Lost for Luke's lightsaber and Zoya Sooki for Darth Vader's. With Wet N Wild Black Creme for the handle and Catrice King of Greens and Zoya Sooki for the buttons.

On my pinkie is three coats of Rainbow Polish Dark Side. This is from Star Set 1.

This Darth Vader inspired polish named Dark Side is a black jelly transparent base packed with various sizes of dark side black hex and square glitters and red "lightsaber" glitter bars and small holographic glitters.
I love this both these sets of polishes and if you are a Star Wars fan I recommend you getting them! They are fabulous!

Thought I would show you Diamond Cosmetics Concrete Jungle (two coats). Super pretty and great application!

31 Day Challenge 2013 Day 22: Tribal Print

31 Day Challenge 2013 Day 22: Tribal Print. Oh ugh! I hate tribal nails! I really and truly do! Last year my mani was horrendous! This is it's a bit better because I didn't do as much but still not full on tribal because I don't like the style! Sorry! Hahaha! :) I used Diamond Cosmetics Matte Smoke. Love me a matte grey! And Finger Paints Black Expressionism for the design. This design is inspired by Beautopia Nails' Teal and Copper Tribal Nail Art.

And because there is only one picture of this year's tribal mani I thought I would show you last year's. Hahaha! Horrendous no? I didn't have a good thin brush and hadn't really done a ton of nail art before this. At least I can say I have improved since last year?  Phew! :)

Love Yourself Mani: Diamond Cosmetics' Matte Smoke

I am blown away by this polish. It is simply stunning. This is two coats of Diamond Cosmetics' Matte Smoke. Um, wow! Look at that! I thought about added something else to it but didn't want to spoil the canvas. It really is a smokey color too!

This polish applied very nicely for a matte, it wasn't too thick and gloopy.

Here's a shot more in the shade. Please forgive my pinkie nail as I am finding that it is curved!? When did this happen? Actually it's always there I think this polish just makes it a bit more noticeable. :)

I bought this polish straight from Diamond Cosmetics.

I really liked this mani and wanted to do something for me, that I enjoyed. This is part of the Love Yourself manis. For more information click on this picture or the one in my sidebar to be taken to the facebook group!

Nail Mail Monday!

It's been awhile since I've had so many packages delivered in one day! I was so happy! :)

First up is my Cult Nails order from her second $5 sale! :) I got all the ones I wanted!

(l-r) Hypnotize Me, Let Me Fly, and Enigmatic. I have swatched these all for my swatchsicles and my favorite is Let Me Fly! It is stunning!

Next up is my order from Diamond Cosmetics. (l-r) Matte Smoke (yep a grey matte!), Chainmail Charm (suppose to be a holo, but isn't a really strong one), Talk of Tokyo, and Concrete Jungle (this is the polish that started the whole order!). Funny thing is that while doing my swatchsicles I have come to see that I really do like greens and greys and this purchase confirms it even more! :)

My quick order from Head2Toe for more clear nail tips for my swatchsicles with my first Misa polish in Grey Matters. This is a silvery shimmery grey!

These were not nail mail but what I picked up from Sallys this weekend! The Finger Paints were clearanced so they were an extra 50% off! $1.62 each for Circus Peanuts and Choco Mint! And then I asked the girl working if they had the new Orly Glam FX line in. They did in the back! She brought them out and I fell in love with Mermaid Tale.

Macro bottle shot of Orly Mermaid Tale. Stunning!!!!
