GOT Polish and The Lazy Blogger's 31 DC: Dots and Fashion

Too many challenges! So yet again I combined them together. Dots are in fashion a lot. I had this idea in my head to do something a bit different. Well, it didn't quite work out as planned but it still follows all the rules of the two challenges!

These are my polka dot tights! Not, not legos, I promise! I used two coats of OPI My Pointe Exactly and two coats of Essence We Will Rock You. I then fished out the large round glitters from Lacquistry's Witches Warts. Topped off with HK Girl Top Coat and you have tights!

Trendy Holiday Mani? Or is it? Muwahahaha!

Here's a little off the beaten path holiday mani for you today. These aren't your typical holiday colors, but I am seeing them around more and more in the holiday decorations at stores.

I personally love these colors together. Now, my design didn't quite turn out how I planned it. It looks a bit more plaque and pustules (now there's a word I never thought I would ever use on my blog!) than I had planned. Well, way more, because that isn't what I had wanted! Hahaha! "Bring out your dead!" (gotta love Monty Python!).

But sometimes you just gotta roll with it and say hey, who cares! This could be a great Halloween mani next year, or maybe there is a national CDC (Center for Disease Control) day that I don't know of and could do these again! Ooh! Yeah, I like that!

I used two coats of China Glaze Def Defying, dotted some OPI Solitaire, and used Lacquistry Winterberry as the accent nail. Also fished out some of the glitters to add to the other nails. I topped it off with HK Girl Top Coat.

So what do you think: trendy holiday or CDC mani of the year?

Hahahahaha!

Indie Month Day 14 and The Digit-al Dozen Does Geek - Pi Day

Day 4 of The Digit-al Dozen Does Geek (and continuing my Indie Month) we have Pi Day! Yep! Pi = 3.14 or today's date of 3/14 (March 14!). Oh yeah! How cool is that! :) This mani was a given when I found out that our Digit-al Dozen week would fall on this day!

Do you see what I did here? Pi....pie. :) This is a Lacquistry Winterberry mathematical pi(e)!

I used OPI Don't Pretzel My Buttons (two coats) as my base. On my index finger I used OPI Berlin There Done That as the pie markings. And then used a black Sharpie to make the Pi symbol and the numbers. I used Lacquistry Winterberry to create pie wedges on my middle and ring fingers. I applied two coats of Winterberry (with no base color) to my pinkie.

Lacquistry Winterberry was part of her Holiday 2012 line and is gorgeous! And applied like only a Lacquistry polish can.....fabulously! And it is unique to my collection.

Bottle shot of Lacquistry Winterberry.

You can purchase other gorgeous polishes from Lacquistry at her etsy store (she is restocking with her new line soon!)

Fall Haul-age!

So I haven't posted about my hauls in like almost 2 months! But I have been saving them up to do in a bigger post. Now, this isn't a crazy big post because I tried not to go crazy! :)

But check out my new little mascot that I found at Target! How perfect is he?! I try to get an ornament each year that represents that year and this one is perfect because of my blog! :) He is my image on my facebook page.

Ok, this isn't polish related but I had to show you this! It's hilarious! The picture on the right is how you deposit the money and retrieve it! Got to love Target! :)

First up, some new Pure Ice polishes. These are their newest lines too! (l-r) Viva Las Vegas, Grunge, Black Velour. Grunge and Black Velour are part of their Velour Finish line!

Now, you have seen most of these already on TGIF: Thank Goodness Indy Indie Friday. But I figured I should show them to you with the rest of my haul! (l-r) Glimmer by Erica Spicy Pumpkin, Glimmer by Erica Harvest Moon, Glimmer by Erica Season's Change (TGIF tomorrow!) and Lacquistry Witches Warts.

More Indies! Rainbow Polish's Star Set 2! (l-r) See CP Ohhh, B-Fett, Chewie, and Sky Walker.

Had to show you the backsides of (l-r) See CP Ohhh, B-Fett, Chewie, and Sky Walker. Can't wait to use them! :)

Some clearance shopping and then some not! China Glaze Elephant Walk, China Glaze Gothic Lolita, and OPI Don't Talk Back to Me.

More clearance! Orly Preamp and Finger Paints Sketchy Character (I heard this one stamps well. We shall see!)

Essie Power Clutch (got it in my Birchbox), Essie Recessionista (my Klout perk!) and Color Club Put a Pin In It (Birchbox). Love free (free-ish because I do pay for the Birchbox subscription) polishes!

Wet n Wild Black Creme (I found this at my Halloween store and had to grab it because I am almost out of my other bottle!) and Sally Hansen Presto Pink (I needed a stamping pink but then didn't use it for a mani. But might need a stamping pink again soon!).

So I was at Ulta the other day and was just browsing (had to use my $5 off $10 coupon of course!) and spotted the one new color that I think is just gorgeous! This is Orly Miss Conduct. And she is a beaut! :)

And oh my goodness...shut the front door....get out... shut up! Look what else I found at my Ulta! Holy flip! I thought these looked really pretty (a bit goth, but hey it's a vampire line so that's a given right?) but thought I'll have to pass because they'll only be available in Europe or random stores in Washington (please explain to me how they get all the cool things!?) (Hahahaha!) But nope! Good ol' Arizona had the Essence Breaking Dawn Collection! (l-r) Alice Had a Vision - Again, A Piece of Forever, Edward's Love, Jacob's Protection. Now I'm not a gold person but I had to have the complete set and at $1.99 I couldn't resist! :)

And last and certainly not least, my Vivid Lacquer VL-003 stamping plate! So excited! Look gears! Sweet steampunk gears! And bio hazard symbol and stitches and the no symbol (cross-out circle) and a target and books and so awesome! Love this nerdy/geeky plate! Can't wait to use it!

Just the cute backing of the stamping plate! :)

So that's my haulage since September. Have you had any great hauls lately?

TGIF: Thank Goodness, Indie Friday - Lacquistry Witches Warts

Here is my last Halloween inspired TGIF: Thank Goodness, Indy Indie Friday! This is such a gorgeous glitter! It's my favorite color! And can go with so many different polishes and seasons! Woot! :)

Like always: (l-r) 4 coats (index finger), 3 coats (middle finger), 2 coats (ring finger), and 1 coat (pinky).

Here is the little inspiration post about it on Lacquistry's etsy page:
"Creeping through the woods on a darkened eve, you see through the trees a flickering light. As you get closer you hear the strange and melodic chanting from the hunched figures in pointed hats circling about the fire. A bubbling cauldron hangs over the fire being tended to by a cackling creature. Her back is to you but she stops and suddenly sniffs the air. You duck back behind the tree but you catch a glimpse of her wretched green face covered in warts turning to look at you…
Lacquistry’s Witches Warts is a tribute to the classic witch, with black circle glitters and varying shades of matte and holo greens."
I love the imagery in that! I love this polish!

Here is one coat of Witches Warts over (l-r) OPI Uh-Oh Roll Down the Window, OPI Planks A Lot, OPI Fiercely Fiona, and Essence Romeo. Just look at those glitters! The micro holo glitter just adds the right amount of depth to this polish! I had no issues in applying this polish.

Bottle and macro bottle shot of Lacquistry's Witches Warts.

Jenna over at Lacquistry is a wizard with polishes! If you haven't tried one of her polishes....you need to! :)

Swap Group: April Swap!

This awesome package came from Yvonne in my swap group. I literally oohed and ahhed when I opened them! :) Well, wouldn't you? I mean look at all the pretties!

First up (l-r): Barielle U-Concrete-Me, Ginger+Liz Ivy League, Butter London Rosie Lee, and Essie Da Bush. The last two are off my wishlist and I am super excited! The Ginger+Liz brand is a new brand for me and it looks gorgeous! I'm not really familiar with them and I looked them up and they are vegan! How cool is that!? The Barielle one is a gorgeous grey creme! Yes! Another grey! I'm so happy! :) When I read the name I laughed because I assume it is a take on the Jerry Maguire "You complete me" but I soo read it as Ralph from The Simpsons reading the valentine card from Lisa: "You choo choo choose me?" hahahaha! Love it! Ah Simpsons, so many life truths!

Next up (l-r): Finger Paints Haute Taupe, KleanColors Peaceful Heart, Franken Grey Grape, and Lacquistry No Name. I'm excited for the Finger Paints one because I don't have many lighter browns and I really do need lighter browns! :) The Kleancolor one is totally awesome! Here, let me show you:

Macro bottle shot of KleanColor Peaceful Heart:

Wowza! A clear base with green holo glitter and glitter hearts! I love it! If you don't count hexes as shapes, then I believe this is my first shape glitter! Super excited!

Macro bottle shot of Franken Grey Grape:

You can kinda see the sparkly goodness at the top of the label. Flecks that flash purple in a grey/purple base! I'm really excited for it! This was made by Yvonne! And she told me it might actually smell like grape too still! Super excited! I opened it and there is a kind of grapey smell to it! :)

Macro bottle shot of Lacquistry No Name:

Holy awesomeness! Look at that! A crapload, an awesome amount of micro blue glitter with blue/silvery hex glitter! Can't tell yet if it is a clear base or a bit of a blue base. But I am loving this! I haven't tried Lacquistry yet and I am super excited!

Thank you so much Yvonne! I love them all!
