TGIF: Thank Goodness, Indie Friday - Glix

Welcome to another installment of TGIF: Thank Goodness, Indy Indie Friday! Today is brought to you Glitrix, an amazing etsy store that sells gorgeous line frankens called Glix. Frankens are, in the words of Glitrix "a personalized mixture and creating your own polish from your stash of nail polish can be fun and addicting. The possibilities are pretty much endless".

This post features two polishes and is picture heavy! :)

First up is Midnight Booze. This is one coat. If I had glooped a bit more on the brush it would have been completely opaque in this one coat! How awesome is that! But with this coat I had a few sparse areas. This is direct sun.

This polish is an amazing indigo based polish with what Glitrix describes as "several different glitters". I could spot micro gold glitter, micro blue glitter, small gold hex and small lilac hex glitter. It is stunning! The application wasn't bad either. It applied like normal glitter and wasn't too fussy! The glitter settled during shipping but I turned it on it's side to have the glitter spread through out and seemed to work because I had glitter with each brush stroke.

Check out the cute bottles! Bah! Stinkin' cute! These are 0.5 ml. She also sells these cute star bottles empty too for those who are into making their own polishes!

Macro bottle shot. Look at that glitter! Gorgeous! It is such a classy polish! I love it!

Here is two coats of Midnight Booze. Like I said, could have been a one coater but two coats makes it a more deeper/richer color and the gold just pops! Gorgeous!

Here is another shot/angle of Midnight Booze using two coats. Stunning and interesting as I don't believe I have anything like it in my stash (and I am currently swatching it so I would know! haha!).

This, gorgeous unique polish is Barbarella. And I think I am in love! This is one coat and as you can see it is still sheer.

Here is Barbarella in direct sun. A lime green polish with what Glitrix describes as "several different glitters". I could spot salmon pink micro glitter and small salmon pink hex glitter. The pink looks orange in some lights and pink in others so I deem it salmon pink!? Lime green and salmon pink? WIN! This polish literally made my jaw drop. This is so unique I love it!

Cute bottle shot! Again these polishes are 5ml. And I think I am going to need a back up of this one!

Macro bottle shot. Squee! Look at that! This is such a fun pop of color!

Here is Barbarella using two coats. Notice that the hex glitter is sparse, that's alright because it's sparse in the bottle, it is not an application problem. I love that it's sparse it makes it more fun! The formula for this polish was wonderful and applied without any problems!

Two coats in direct sun. Just look. How could you not like this one? Granted, this color may not be for everyone but I love colors like this! :)

Bah! My right hand! (It is so hard to take a picture of my right hand!) I wanted to show you want one coat of Barbarella looks like (in direct sun) layered over another polish (Finger Paints Sexy Sundress). Yep, that is what this is. Now I can conserve the polish and make it last longer!

One coat layered over Finger Paints Sexy Sundress. When I stare at both hands together, my left hand (two coats of Barbarella) is a more deeper lime. Whereas the right hand (one coat layered over Finger Paints) is a brighter lime. And look, my pointer didn't get any hex glitter, but I'm alright with that because there is a ton of the pink micro glitter on it! :)

This line of frankens Glix by Glitrix is awesome! 5ml cute star shaped bottles for $6.00 and no shipping and handling! You better all go and visit and buy some because you will not be disappointed!I didn't have problems with either of these polishes and thought that they were great with great coverage and the glitter applied evenly enough! :)

*EDIT: I have worn Barbarella for three days now with a coat of Seche Vite and I have minimal tip wear and this was even one day of working on unloading a truck (which usually wrecks my nails!)!

Here is the underwear for the Barbarella. This is Finger Paints Sexy Sundress. Such a perfect color for Barbarella! But the Finger Paints formula was gloopy and streaky as you can see; but I knew I was going to cover it so I wasn't too worried.

Swap Group: April Swap!

This awesome package came from Yvonne in my swap group. I literally oohed and ahhed when I opened them! :) Well, wouldn't you? I mean look at all the pretties!

First up (l-r): Barielle U-Concrete-Me, Ginger+Liz Ivy League, Butter London Rosie Lee, and Essie Da Bush. The last two are off my wishlist and I am super excited! The Ginger+Liz brand is a new brand for me and it looks gorgeous! I'm not really familiar with them and I looked them up and they are vegan! How cool is that!? The Barielle one is a gorgeous grey creme! Yes! Another grey! I'm so happy! :) When I read the name I laughed because I assume it is a take on the Jerry Maguire "You complete me" but I soo read it as Ralph from The Simpsons reading the valentine card from Lisa: "You choo choo choose me?" hahahaha! Love it! Ah Simpsons, so many life truths!

Next up (l-r): Finger Paints Haute Taupe, KleanColors Peaceful Heart, Franken Grey Grape, and Lacquistry No Name. I'm excited for the Finger Paints one because I don't have many lighter browns and I really do need lighter browns! :) The Kleancolor one is totally awesome! Here, let me show you:

Macro bottle shot of KleanColor Peaceful Heart:

Wowza! A clear base with green holo glitter and glitter hearts! I love it! If you don't count hexes as shapes, then I believe this is my first shape glitter! Super excited!

Macro bottle shot of Franken Grey Grape:

You can kinda see the sparkly goodness at the top of the label. Flecks that flash purple in a grey/purple base! I'm really excited for it! This was made by Yvonne! And she told me it might actually smell like grape too still! Super excited! I opened it and there is a kind of grapey smell to it! :)

Macro bottle shot of Lacquistry No Name:

Holy awesomeness! Look at that! A crapload, an awesome amount of micro blue glitter with blue/silvery hex glitter! Can't tell yet if it is a clear base or a bit of a blue base. But I am loving this! I haven't tried Lacquistry yet and I am super excited!

Thank you so much Yvonne! I love them all!

An Epic Royal Nail Mail

Package number 4 step right up! This is the biggie baddie box with orange label. This box contains pretties and goodies from an epic swap carried by the royal post from Debbie at The Crumpet. This all started out because Debbie mentioned she had a lemming of mine. And blew up into the full blown epicness that it is! :)

Oh, you want to see what's inside? 'Kay!

Ta-daa! Boom baby! Boo-yah! Look at all the purdies! So loverly! I seriously oohed and ahhed out loud when opening the box. (after finally getting the box open, Debbie has some serious taping skills!)  :)

Here are all the Nails Inc polishes (sorry for the not so in focus picture, overcast and still trying to learn the new camera). L-R: Little Miss Chatterbox (do you all remember these books? I loved these books!), Eden Grove (can you believe Debbie gave me a teal!), Buckingham Palace (deep royal purple, get it? royal!?), Chelsea Embankment (gold glitter), Hans Place (IRL it looks a bit more peachy), and The Fuschia's Bright (love the name! hot pink shimmery goodness).

These are my first BarryM polishes! Stupid camera doesn't like the goodness and so it made the foils blurry. But it is Silver Foil, Nail Effects (black crackle), and Good Foil. Debbie tells me the foils are really good for stamping and I have seen her nails when she stamps with these...amazing! She also tells me that this crackle is better than OPI. Haven't tried it yet, but it looks less gloopy in the bottle than OPI crackle!

My first Leighton Denny in Berry Nice. I am not familiar with this brand but Debbie I believed called them "lush". I will take her word for it because it is very pretty and I love the bottle! And here is the reason for the swap. L'Oreal's Owl's Night. Yep. See why I needed and wanted this polish! Oh and it's gorgeous too! :)

This my dear readers, in the Essence bottle, on the left is a franken by none other than Debbie her self! She named it Fusching Gorgeous (we are pretending to pronounce it Few-shing)  ;)  It is gorgeous (look at that, just like the name!)! It is a pink base with a crap-load of glitter! Ahh, I love me some crap-loads of glitter! :)  And yes the bottle really is shaped like that! Love it and the color and holo fatty glitter! These little itty biddies are Max Factor (yep same brand that does Fantasy Fire) in Disco Pink and Intense Plum. Love the colors and the size super cute!

The bottle on the left is by Funky Dazzlers. It is a pink base with a ton of micro silver glitter! So much fun! And suck tiny glitter! The other polish is well, all I could find on it was Miss Sporty. I assume it is the name of the brand? Debbie, any help? But she is a pretty shimmery duochrome like polish!

At last but not least the goodies that put in the box. All of them were yummy in my tummy! Especially those long red, yellow, pink, white candies called Maoam. They are so super duper yummy! They remind me of childhood! Mmmmmm.....childhood! :)
