TGIF: 31 Day Challenge 2013 Day 8: Supernatural

31 Day Challenge 2013 (relaxed version) Day 8: Inspired by the Supernatural. Ugh, this one is always hard for me for some reason. And to include and Indie because it is also Friday so it is TGIF: Thank Goodness, Indy Indie Friday! But I managed to do it!

I used two coats of Finger Paints Black Expressionism as my base. I then used Daring Digits Girls Night Out as my ominous figure in the dark. and look, he has a glowing sphere-thingy friend with him! Dun dun duuuuun!

I know, I tried! :) And I had fun too!

My previous review of Daring Digits' Girls Night Out can be found here. You can find out more about Daring Digits:

TGIF: Thank Goodness, Indie Friday! -Daring Digits

So a couple of weeks ago I started up a new feature on my blog. Well, it's Friday, so that means......

Yep! TGIF! Thank Goodness, Indy Indie Friday! (PS, thank you to Cutie-CLUE-less for suggesting I use this for my badge!) (hopefully it's legal to use it!).

A few weeks ago I showed you my swatches from my recent purchase from Daring Digits (click name to sent to etsy shop).(click HERE to see previous swatches). This week I bring you the final two Daring Digits polishes!

This is Daring Digits Girls Night Out. This is a dark grey polish with pink and green micro glass flecks. They are sort of holo-like. This is two coats. I'm thinking to try it as a top coat too because the first coat was sheer! Polish applied wonderfully! And the glass flecks were evenly dispersed because I tipped the bottle upside for a few minutes before apply (obviously with lid on!).

Here's another shot where you can sort of make out the green and pink! I really like this polish a lot! It's very fun and sparkly! :)

This is two coats of Diamond Block. This is a silvery grey polish with blue glitter. I love the pop of color with the glitter! (turned my bottle upside down so spread out the glitter before application). The silver kinda of has a frost finish too it. I'm not a huge fan of frosts but this is gorgeous! The glitter really makes this polish pop! This also was very easy to apply without any problems! :)

Another shot of it! The blue glitter is like a baby blue and is just awesome!

Don't forget to check out the Daring Digits etsy shop and have some fun! She has some beautiful Hunger Games polishes up for sale right now!

TGIF: Thank Goodness, Indie Friday! -Daring Digits

So last week I showed you my recent purchases from Daring Digits (click name to sent to etsy shop). I thought I would start up a new feature, TGIF: Thank Goodness, Indie Friday! on Fridays that will showcase the Indie polishes that I purchase.

Today I am only showing you two polishes (out of the 4) from Daring Digits. Next Friday I will show you the others, I want to try and make this a regular feature on my blog.

This here is Mrs. Peacock by Daring Digits, one coat. Inspired by the board game: Clue. As you can see it is still sheer. I didn't really have any problems getting the glitter out of the bottle. The formula was a bit gloopy but not too bad, it made it easier for the glitter to stick together and actually be used! I love the bright blue of this polish!

This is two coats and look at that color! It's a little bumpy but it's a glitter so that's to be expected. The glitters in this polish twinkle and shine and give the polish an almost metallic quality. Gorgeous! I love it!

This is one coat of Why So Serious? Inspired by Batman villain, The Joker. Very sheer and not super purple when it is only one coat. I tipped the bottle before using it, trying to get the bigger hex glitter to distribute throughout but it didn't really work. And with this coat I had 5 hex big hex glitters spread though out the mani. Which is alright because I am going to do two coats.

Two coats. Huh. No hex glitter, well maybe one. But there is so much hex glitter in the bottle that I think the next time I use it I will use a toothpick or orange stick to swish it around more than just tipping the bottle. But, I still love this polish. It's a deep purple with bright green glitter that just pop will color off the nail. Very unique. This one dried very quickly so I had to brush it on fast. But it didn't leave streaks so I'm not complaining! I love it! It's very dark just like the Joker. I wish I had thought to layer this polish to see it pop as a top coat. Hmmm, maybe I will do that as a mani later on!

Don't forget to check out Daring Digits, she currently has a Hunger Games line! And she has written that she has a new base polish that suspends her glitters better! Less shaking and more enjoying! Stay tuned for next Friday's TGIF: Thank Goodness, Indie Friday, where I feature two more Daring Digits polishes!

Oh! And happy Friday the 13th! :)

Indie Haul

So another nail diva in PAA showed a picture of some awesome polish she had bought off etsy from a shop called Daring Digits. So I took a look and fell in love with four polishes! And what was even better is that the polishes are 20% off! (sale is still going on until 4/16/2012) So I bought the minis so I could get all of them! :)

Here are the polish bottle backsides! (l-r) Diamond Block, Mrs. Peacock, Girls Night Out, and Why So Serious? Aren't they loverly!

Diamond Block and Girls Night Out may look similar but they are different. Don't believe me? Let's look at some bottle macro shots!

First up is Diamond Block. The inspiration for this one is a mineable block from Minecraft: Diamonds. It is a silver base with light blue glitter! I'm excited to see the contrast of the light blue on the silver! :)

I think she did pretty good at the created a polish that looks like this:

Awesome! I personally don't play Minecraft but I can see the resemblance!

This is Mrs Peacock! Look at that! A polish based on Clue! Yes! Win! This is a light blue polish with varying sizes of multi colored glitter! Very excited for this one! It's very fun!

Here is Girls Night Out. See! Not at all like Diamond Block! :) It's a dark grey base with pink and green highlights! Party time! Love this!

Here is Why So Serious? This is the one I had to have! I am most excited for this one. Look at the colors! How more Joker-like could you get! Dark metallic purple base with green glitter! Wow! This one makes me happy! Can't wait to try it!

I love Batman and I loved Heath Ledger as the Joker! So, here's a bit of Joker for you:
