The Digit-al Dozen Does Monochromatic Week : Neutrals

Welcome to the first Digit-al Dozen Week of 2014! And we are doing monochromatic! Today I choose to do neutrals to go along with my Neutral Mondays that I have been doing. I was inspired by TopCoatIt: Chocolate Mountains, mine are just grey! :)

A reason to break out a ton of grey? Yes please! And this isn't even a pinch of my greys! Mmmm, I love me greys! So calming and purdy!

I started out with Essence Romeo as my base (best grey ever!) Then I used Catrice London's Weather Forecast, followed by Duri Gin Greyhound, and then Revlon Iconic. I topped it off with my fabulous grey glitter that I had custom made by Dragon Lacquer called: Geeky Owl! :)

Topped it off with NYC In a New York Minute. I love how this turned out. Simple but very neat.

Technique Tuesdays: Santa Hats

So this isn't a major technique. But it involves free-handing a french tip, dotting tools, and applying jewels!

I have been seeing these hats all over the place (most recently by Sue from Creative Nail Design by Sue) and new I wanted to try it out. I think they are super cute. Now, mine aren't too perfect, some of the hat tail things are too big and look like they are bleeding but hey, I still think they are festive! Not bad for a first try! Hahaha! :)

I used Duri Rejuvacote as my base. I then free-handed french tips using Color Club Mamba and added the little "tails". Then I added a coat of China Glaze Ruby Pumps to add sparkle and festivness! Next I used my dotting tool and white acrylic paint for the fluffy part of the hat. Following that I dabbed a bit of clear polish on the tips of the hats and applied my jewels. I then topped it all off with NYC In a New York Color Minute Top Coat.

I hope you all have a safe and wonderful holiday!

Duri Rejuvacote

Avert your eyes! Nekkid nails! Yikes! :)

I just wanted to show you all how my nails are fairing with using Duri Rejuvacote. I've been using it for about the past 3 weeks regularly as my base coat. I have noticed less breakage and peeling. My middle finger still likes to be a different shape and length than the others (no matter what I do! It has a mind of it's own!).
I am loving the results and will continue to use Duri Rejuvacote! I got mine at Walmart!

Any of you using it?

Lust List vol. 1

I have been loving all the cravings, lemmings, or lust lists that many bloggers have been posting. So I decided to team up with Emma over at Manicurity and do my own Lust List!

My Lust List isn't just nail polish.....it's so much more! :)

Starting at the top:

1. Urban Decay Vice Palette. Yes! So many good reasons to want/need this. I love Urban Decay's formula. And a plus is that I have allergies to some make up and not with Urban Decay! Woot! The colors in this palette are gorgeous! Check out Scrangie and her review of it.

2. This has two polishes in the picture. This is Catrice Steel My Heart and Steel My Soul polishes. These two are a "brushed metal effect" so they dry matte! I so wish that we could get Catrice polish here in the US. I love their colors and formula! Probably one of my favorite brands. But these two colors are new(er). I first fell in love with them when I saw them on Oooh, Shinies! The picture I used comes from Beauty Before Breakfast.

3. Oh? What are these lovely beautiful yummy looking things? These are Marshmallow Bits from Nuts.com And yes, they are exactly what they sound and look like. A whole bag of marshmallows like the ones in Lucky Charms! Yes please! I need these! :)

4. This is the CD that I am lusting after. It is the Civil Wars Barton Hallow. I have been listening to them on Spotify and I love them! Such a unique sound! I love groups that sound a bit different and aren't too cookie-cutter. I think I will be getting this album on payday! :)

5. Dollish Polish Legend of Zelda Duo. Oh my geeky goodness! I need these in my life. These have been on my wishlist for a while now. If I don't get them in my Christmas swap next month I am buying them myself! :) Hahaha! The two polishes are: "The Hero Of Time: Mimicking brave Links clothing, this is a clear jelly loaded with varying shades of green, brown and gold can be layered over any shade as a top coat, or can be build-able to be completely opaque. Wear this and be ready to take on an enemy of Hyrule! And the other polish is: Hylian Princess: Princess Zelda portrays both an air of regal elegance, and inner strength and intelligence and her clothing is a good representation of that. White flowing gown with accents of varying purples and a crown of gold, this polish imitates the same regal appearance and can also be worn as a top coat, or built into a stand alone opaque shade."

6.  Urban Decay Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner. Ok, I already have like 5 of these. But a few are drying out (had them for a while). So I need to get back ups and all the other colors! I love these eyeliners because I suck and using eyeliner and you can't mess up with these because it's glitter! And I love the extra pop of glitter it adds and I always get compliments when I wear them! :)

7. Duri Rejuvacote. This is another one that if I don't get this in my swap I am so getting. I have heard so many good things about this treatment. And I need it. My nails are becoming junk right now with the weather changing and all.

So anything you have been lusting after lately?

LOSTathon: Season 6

Day 6 = Season 6 LOSTicure

Here is my representation of season 6 of LOST:
Thumb: represents the main theme black and white running throughout the entire show and particularly between Jacob and The Man in Black's battle.
Pointer: represents the lighthouse that contains one of two lists of Jacob's candidates. Names of different people are seen on the bearings with only 5 that have not been crossed out. These are: Reyes, Ford, Shephard, Jarrah, and Kwon (Sun or Jin?).
Middle: this is Jacob's ankh with their names on it, that is given to Hurley before he returns to the island.
Ring: this is the cliffside cave that has the other list of candidates names. The Man in Black took Sawyer here to see his name carved into the wall. But the list still contained the name of Locke, not having been crossed out yet. And each name had a corresponding number 4-Locke, 8-Reyes, 15-Ford, 16-Jarrah, 23-Shephard, and 42-Kwon (numbers look familiar?).
Pinkie: represents Jacob's ashes.

Here are the technicals for the mani:

Thumb: Color Club French Tip and Wet n' Wild Black Creme.
Pointer: Essie Borrowed & Blue, Finger Paints Sketchy, China Glaze Stone Cold, Duri Gin Greyhound, and Wet n' Wild Black Creme.
Middle: China Glaze Smoke and Ashes and OPI Warm & Fozzie.
Ring:Finger Paints Haute Taupe, Finger Paints Artist's Inspiration, China Glaze Stone Cold, and Wet n' Wild Black Creme.
Pinkie: Essence The Dawn is Broken.

See the creepiness that occurred when I took the picture? See The Man in Black in the caveside cliff. That is not my reflection. I saw it when I was taking the picture and moved around and it didn't move! Do you also see the eye in the lower left corner of the yin yang symbol? Spooky! Wasn't planned either! :)

What did I love about this season?
-the back story of Jacob and The Man in Black
-Sun and Jin's reunion!
-Richard's story
-Ben's crazy secret room! :)
-"Locke" as the smoke monster!
-the flash-sideways

What did I hate about this season?
-crazy Claire
-Sun and Jin in the submarine :'(
-Sayid and the bomb :'(
-the what the crap just happenedness is all through out this season up to the very end!
-it ends. :'(

Nail Haul!

Here is a picture of the polishes I bought while in Canada! So many pretties! :) Look at the all the colors!

Top Row (l-r): Joe Fresh Orchid, Joe Fresh Peacock, Joe Fresh Teal, Joe Fresh Hunter, Joe Fresh Moss, and Joe Fresh Eggplant.

Bottom Row (l-r): GOSH Fairytale, GOSH Ocean, GOSH Purple Heart, Duri Gin Greyhound, China Glaze Pelican Grey, Nubar Elegant Indigo, and Nubar Stylish Peacock.

I'm soo excited for these polishes! These are my first GOSH, Duri, and Nubar polishes! And so many new Teals to use for Teal Tuesdays! :)

This is some things I got on my way home from my trip and in my Birchbox. The lipgloss (gasp not polish!) is by Hard Candy and is called Glossaholic in Vanilla. And I finally found Pure Ice Rio! My Walmart never has it in stock. I'm super excited because now I have all the ones that Caitlin did in her awesome post Pure Ice Comparison (with macros). Yes! This little Color Club is from my Birchbox for March. It is a mini in He Loves Me. It's a super baby pink that isn't too my color. So I think I might franken with it! :)

Now for picture as to why I bought this lipgloss.....ready?

Yep! Those are flakies in a lipgloss! Oh yeah baby! How cool is that! $5 at Walmart! Comes in other flavors too! :)

And guess what. There is this awesome woman over at PAA who is just amazing. One day I get a message saying telling me that she has sent me a prize! I'm all like what!? Why, for what? Her answer: for being you.
Awwww! Isn't she awesome! The person I am talking about is April from Munia's Nails. Her and I have talked back and forth for awhile now and I would say that we are friends! (I hope she agrees! hahaha!) (I would think so!) She's always going on the awesome Dusty Hunting trips and scoring awesome finds! She's my Dusty Hunting Idol! :) Well, at the end of this past week, my "prize" came. You want to see it?

OPI DS Mystery!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh, My. Goodness! I was so shocked at receiving this! It was on my wishlist! It is a gorgeous deep purple polish with gold glitter. I know many people don't love this polish but I think it is regal! Love it!

Tried to get a macro of this polish but my camera is hating on me right now. So this is as good as I could get....blurry semi close shot. Sorry! But you can see the purple and the gold! Loverly right!?

Thank you thank you thank you so much April! I love love love it! :)

And I promise I do have plans for more swatches and nail art and tutorials and a new blog header! I do I really do! But this semester is kicking me! Ugh, only about 4 more weeks and I'll be done! I have a practicum this summer but I will have more time to play! So please, bear with me, I do have good intentions! And some awesome ideas that are going to explode soon because they need to be given life! :)
