The Digit-al Dozen Does It Again: Fashion and OMG Nail Strips Review

Today is the last day of The Digit-al Dozen Does It Again, and today is fashion! I have another review for you from OMG Nail Strips. I chose these to go with fashion because nail strips are fashion! They are pretty huge right now! And OMG Nail Strips come in so many different designs and colors to match any outfit for a fashionista!

First I applied Multi Colored Polka Dot using the directions on the back of the packaging. Easy peasy! And look! It's a fabulous dotticure without any hassle! So on trend! :)

I wanted to add a bit more but not detract from the beautiful simplicity of the strips.

So I added a bit of bling to add to it! I love these a lot! And they last awhile! Well, the little jewels fell off pretty fast (3D items never last for me!). But the strips lasted! Easy to apply and easy to remove by using polish remover!

Go and check out OMG Nail Strips website to see their whole line of strips. And checkout their Facebook page for more ideas!

These items were sent to me to review for my honest opinion.

The Digit-al Dozen Does It Again: Tape and OMG Nail Strips Review

It's day 11 of The Digit-al Dozen Does It Again and today it's tape mani! Curses tape mani, we meet again! But today I have something that helped out a lot! OMG Nail Strips!

I was sent two different patterns to review for them (tomorrow you get to see the other one!) And can I just say they are excellent!

"OMG nail strips challenges everything you thought you knew about nail polish strips. They differ from real nail polish or cheap nail stickers because of their form fitting qualities and unique resistance to chipping, tearing and wrinkling.  They also dry instantly upon application." -source

Dry instantly? One of my pet peeves with tape manis is the dry time.

Light bulb!

First I applied the Speckle strips following the directions on the back of the packaging. Super easy to apply and they look great! I used a normal top coat as I read that a fast dry could cause some issues with wrinkling. As you can see on my index nail I filed a little too much excess off, but even with nubbins these strips look great!

Next I applied some nail stickers, make sure you take some of the stickiness off before applying to the nail strips or you can have a bit of damage like you see on my index nail. I tried a few different designs using Sally Hansen Mint Sprint. I think I am loving the french tip on my pinkie the most!

I think these strips worked out great! Made doing my nails easier and cut down the time! Anything that does that in my book is fabulous!

Have you tried them yet?

You can check them out on their website OMG Nail Strips or on their Facebook page for more ideas!

These items were sent to me for review and my honest opinion.

The Digit-al Dozen Does It Again: Books

Day 10 of The Digit-al Dozen Does It Again. Today is Books. I was a bit stumped on this one. But then I came across my Literary Lacquers polish: Lake of Shinning Waters. This polish is from her Anne of Green Gables Collection. I knew then what I was going to do! I just love the books of Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery.

Here is my bases. I started off with two coats of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls and Zoya Shay. I did three coats (one extra coat for holo goodness!) of Literary Lacquers' Lake of Shinning Waters. Just look at it! Gorgeous!

I then created four scenes from the book/movie using polish (skin tones) and acrylic paints. On my index nail you have Green Gables in all it's glory. I just want to go Prince Edward Island to visit it!

On my middle finger I have Ann with an "e". This is when Gilbert Blythe calls her carrots and she breaks her chalkboard over his head in class! Oh Gilbert! :)

My ring finger is The Lake of Shinning Waters and when Anne re-enacts The Lady of Shalot, before her boats sinks and she is saved by Gilbert.

And finally, on my pinkie, we have Anne in "the depths of despair" and in her "graveyard of shattered hopes and dreams" when she tried to dye her hair only to have it turn green. Green hair! You can see her eyes shut tightly against the tragidy of it all!

I topped it all off with HK Girl Top Coat. I hope you enjoyed this mani as much as I do! Now I need to go watch the movies.....all of them! :)

The Digit-al Dozen Does It Again: Bling

Day 9 of The Digit-al Dozen Does It Again brings us to Bling! I missed this month last time so I am excited to get to do a mani that I had planned but never got around to doing!

This is bling! In a big way! It's so ridiculous bling, it's crazy! :)

First I started out with two coats of each OPI Holiday Glow (a gorgeous shimmery brown!) and China Glaze Glistening Snow. Even without anything else this is a lovely mani. Can't wait to use these two colors more!

I then did a third coat of OPI Holiday Glow and before it dried I dipped my nail into Martha Stewart's Brownstone Glitter. I also did a third coat of China Glaze Glistening Snow and then dipped that nail into Recollection's Silver Microbeads. How fun is this mani! I love it!

The Digit-al Dozen Does It Again: Animal

Day 8 of The Digit-al Dozen Does It Again! Today is Animal. I thought I would do something a little different than my usual stamping. I want to tell a story. I call it freedom! I really love how this turned out!

I used my new MoYou Kitty 11. I love this plate! It's stamps perfectly! The birdcage on the second finger is broken as an error on my behalf. But it worked because it shows how the blue bird flies away and out of the reach of the kitty to freedom!

My base color is OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls (two coats). I stamped using Konad Black and Sally Hansen Brisk Blue. Topped off with HK Girl Top Coat.

I was inspired by Sarah in the facebook group Adventures in Stamping and her bird in the cage mani.

The Digit-al Dozen Does It Again: Geeks

Welcome to the next week of The Digit-al Dozen Does It Again! Today is day 7 and we have Geeks! Boo-ya! I was super stoked to have this theme again! I think there might be a few of us that do the same fandom. :) Doctor Who!

Today's mani is all about my My Online Shop MJ XII plate that I got specially for these two images! I love them! The Tardis and an all over print of the Doctors, Tardis, and screwdrivers! What's not to love!

I used OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls (two coats) as the base of three of my nails. I used Cult Nails Time Traveler (duh, had to right?). I stamped on my two fingers using Sally Hansen Quick Jeanius (from the new 2013 fall line). I stamped using Konad White for the Tardis. And of course I had to use my NerdLacquer Don't Blink as my glitter accent nail! Topped it all off with HK Girl Top Coat.

You may also notice I have a slightly different hand position. I am trying out a new way of taking photos by using my gorillapod (tripod thingy). And so I need to put my hand in a new position and then rotate the photo. BUT! I am loving how clear and crisp the image is! What do you think?
