Neutral Mondays: Essence - As Long As You Love Me

Welcome Owlets to Neutral Mondays! This is where I bring you the beautiful colors that I love: neutrals! So that means grey (or gray, however you want to spell it!), brown, beige, taupe, ivory, black, white, silver..etc.

Some Neutral Mondays may just be a quick swatch of a new neutral that I got! (Like today) And other Neutral Mondays will be how to spiffy it up, but neutrals are cool.......urm well, they aren't are they, they are neutrals (color theory humor for you). How about, neutrals are awesome! Yep, that works.

So today I bring you Essence As Long As You Love Me from the Beauty Beats Collection. 

Ok, so I was at Ulta looking around at the new collections and saw this grey. I knew I had to have it. But then I saw whose line it was......Justin Bieber! Ugh! I so didn't buy any of the NOPI of his line because I can't stand him! (Sorry for those of you who do, he's just not my type of music).

Have you ever not bought a polish because of the person the collection was associated with? I mean I know we've bought polishes for names alone, right? 

Bought I kept look at this polish and just gave a big sigh and sucked it up and bought it. It helps that the name of the polish is also a Backstreet Boy's song! Oh yeah, I liked them in high school! :)

This is two coats with HK Girl Top Coat. And like all my other Essence polishes, excellent formula! And look at the shimmer! It's a beaut! Definitely a keeper! 

Will add this to my pile of other greys. One cannot have too many greys, at least that's my motto!

So I hope you guys like this new feature where I get to feature my fav neutrals and prove I am the Neutral Queen (for nail polishes only, I am not a ruler in any way shape or form!) (Hahaha!)

The Digit-al Dozen Does Red, Gold, and Green: Dotticure Tree!

Happy Friday the 13th! Hope your day goes without any problems! :) 

Final day of The Digit-al Dozen Does Red, Gold, and Green, and to end it I decided to abstract dotticure Christmas trees. I say abstract because they sort of lost there tree shape a bit! Hee-hee! :)

I used China Glaze Ruby Pumps as my base (two coats). The dots are: Sally Hansen Emerald City, Sally Hansen Going Green, Sally Hansen No S-pear Time, China Glaze Starboard, and China Glaze Def Defying. I used Barry M Gold Foil Effects for the star all topped with HK Girl Top Coat. 

I had a lot of fun doing all these manis. I was surprised at how many greens I have and how many reds I don't have! Haha!

The Digit-al Dozen Does Red, Gold, and Green: Gradient!

Day 4 of The Digit-al Dozen Does Red, Gold, and Green, and I am busting out a gradient! Look at me, just getting back into the groove of things doing tape manis, waterfalls, and now a gradient! Boo-yah! :) Hahaha!

I really do love a good gradient, they are just gorgeous! For this gradient I used China Glaze Starboard and Zoya Sooki. I then applied on the three fingers Orly Shining Star but it wasn't enough so I added Orly Prisma Gloss Gold. Yep, there's the gold sparkle I was looking for!

For my accent nail I stamped using Barry M Gold Foil Effects and Bundle Monster BM-302. I fished out some glitter from Ho Ho Ho by Glimmer by Erica to accent the holly berries! I topped it off with my good ol' trusty top coat HK Girl.

The Digit-al Dozen Does Red, Gold, and Green: Waterfall!

Day 3 of The Digit-al Dozen Does Red, Gold, and Green and I attempted a Waterfall again. I think I did better than last time but still need to practice some more. The Nailasaurus makes it look too easy! :)

I still kind of like how it turned out (need to work on my brush skills). The colors are holiday, but which holiday? Kind of makes me almost think of Halloween with the red/blood and the chartreuse/slime. Hahaha! I love it! :)

I started with Sally Hansen Emerald City (again) as my base, I then mattified it with NYC Matte Me Crazy. For the waterfall itself I used: Nails Inc Chelsea Embankment (gold), Finger Paints Sexxy Sundress (chartreuse), and China Glaze Ruby Pumps (red).

My goal is to perfect the waterfall! So watch for more to come! :)

The Digit-al Dozen Does Red, Gold, and Green: Tape Mani!

Day 2 of The Digit-al Dozen Does Red, Gold, and Green, and guess what I voluntarily chose to do....a friggin' tape mani! And for once in my nail art lifetime it worked! Wahoo! :)

I stared with Sally Hansen Emerald City, then Nails Inc Chelsea Embankment, followed by China Glaze Red-y and Willing. And of course, topped off with HK Girl Top Coat.

Yep, a third photo because I'm so happy this work out! :)

The Digit-al Dozen Does Red, Gold, and Green: Glitter!

Hey Owlets, guess what! I'm back! I'm hoping to get back to my regular schedule of posting soon. But this week is The Digit-al Dozen Week and I couldn't miss another one. :) And this week's theme is Red, Gold, and Green!

I decided to start the week with a simple mani. I was looking over my pinterest and saw this mani by Storm and Stars. I knew it would work with this theme!

I used Barry M Gold Foil Effects as a base for three nails and Sally Hansen Emerald City as the accent. I love the shimmer of Emerald City! I then sponged on Ho Ho Ho by Glimmer by Erica, all topped off with HK Girl Top Coat.

Simple, yet sparkly and fun!

The 2014 Blogger Challenge

I'm baaack! :) Tomorrow starts a week of The Digit-al Dozen! So get ready!

But today I wanted to post that this month my blog will be 2 years old! Wow. When I started this blog I didn't really have any goals in mind, just do my nails, take pictures, and post them and see if anyone likes it! Well, in the past two years I have made many wonderful friends through different nail art challenges and nail art groups. I have come farther than I ever thought. 

And I thank you all for it. I also thank you all for the love and support you have shown me this past month. I can't write how much it means to me to know that there are people out there whom I don't actually know that care about me and my little blog on the internet. Thank you all!

Going back to the goals. I plan in the next few weeks to try and make some for my blog for 2014. I have already started with one. I want more writing on my blog (not a ton, but more). Sometimes it is had to find what to say. So I have chosen, along with over 300 other bloggers to join the 2014 Blogger Challenge.

#2014BloggerChallenge was created by Gaby over at Another Girly Blog. Every 1st and 3rd week of the month, those of us in the challenge will write about different topics. Everyone who signs up will get an email of the topic. The topics are there to encourage you to write about things you may not normally write about. I think it sounds very interesting.
