The Lazy Blogger's 31DC: Inspired by Artwork

Inspired by Artwork sometimes is really hard for me. But today's was easy. I have this card framed and hanging on my wall. It's been there going on 7 years. It is a sympathy card from my mother's funereal. And I think it is a gorgeous card.

Sorry this is just a quick iPhone photo of the card, I realized I didn't take a photo of it to show it to you! :)

I used OPI Mermaid's Tears and OPI Stranger Tides for the top and bottom (the card is actually really these colors, just doesn't show it that well in the photo). I used OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls as the tree limbs and Mermaid's Tears' leaves. I then used microbeads like on the card. I used HK Girl Top Coat to seal it up! :)

I love this mani. It really means a lot to me. It is very tranquil like the card.

Don't forget to check out Emma's awesome nails over at Manicurity!

  1. What a serene and peaceful sympathy card. You really captured that! I love manis where microbeads are individually placed rather than all smooshed together. I think it looks very classy.

Also, on an unrelated note: twice in as many days I've managed to both publish and then delete comments on my blog because apparently before I have coffee I'm too dumb to work email notifications? Anyway... the lovely comment you left on my GOT pink post was one of them, and I'm sorry. Lashings behind the barn after dinner.
