TGIF: Indie Holos!

I know that I've shown these before but I had a craving to wear them again. The base is two coats of Model City Dipping Chocolate. This is a gorgeous holo brown! Love it! I then did a french tip using Slick Lacquer A Wink and a Nod. A lovely nude holo! I added a little China Glaze Trendsetter heart for fun! Topped with HK Girl Top Coat.

What do you think?

The Digit-al Dozen Does Monochromatic Week: Teal

Last day of The Digit-al Dozen Does Monochromatic Week. And today I tried teal. These colors were so similar that the stamp almost doesn't show up, but I love the effect of it all!

I used Catrice San Francisco as my base and stamped using A England Saint George using Emily De Molly EDM04 plate. I also used HK Girl Top Coat. They are peacock feathers, just in case you can't tell.

TGIF: Mentality Biscotti

TGIF: Thank Goodness Indy Indie Friday! Today we a new to me brand: Mentality. I keep seeing all these amazing swatches of these gorgeous polishes! But this one, Biscotti caught my eye big time!

Biscotti is a Frosty Matte from Mentality, it is a nude with bronze shimmer! And it is gorgeous! And the formula is wonderful!

Isn't it purdy! I love it! I think I am going to have to get more of this brand! :)

This is with a top coat! Look at that shimmer! Stunning! Wowza!

TGIF: Lucky 13 Lacquer - Softening the Bad Things

Welcome to TGIF: Thank Goodness, Indy Indie Friday! And today I have a very special polish. This is Softening the Bad Things by Lucky 13 Lacquer.

When I saw this polish go up for sale, I had to have it. The inspiration behind the polish is Van Gogh's Sunflowers and the Doctor Who episode: Vincent and the Doctor.

This polish also represents the battle with mental illness. And as you know, I suffer greatly from depression and anxiety. I wanted this polish because it is gorgeous, and because it represents a part of me. Also, $1 of each sale goes to National Alliance on Mental Illness.

This polish is just gorgeous. I used a coat of Essence You Belong to Me as my base. This is only one coat of Softening the Bad Things with a coat of HK Girl Top Coat.

And soften the bad things is what this polish does. It makes me happy and hey, it's a new polish!

TGIF: An Indie Christmas tree featuring Hit Polish - TMNT

Hey Owlets! Remember when I used to do TGIF: Thank Goodness, Indy Indie Fridays! Well I hope to bring them back! And today I am featuring TMNT by HitPolish! Can I just say how much I love this brand! And I am sad to hear that they are closing up shop. But they are having excellent deals right now!

First I started off with OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls. Then, using Sally Hansen Emerald City I loosely created a tree shape.

Then I painted Hit Polish TMNT over the tree. Isn't this polish just perfect for this! Yes, I know it's inspiration are the Ninja Turtles but seriously how cool is it as a tree! I added some bling for the tree topper. And used HK Girl Top Coat for seal and shine! :)

Please go and visit HIT POLISH and show them some last support and buy some amazing polish! (they are not endorsing this. I bought TMNT with my own money, I just really really love their polishes! In fact while writing this I ordered two more!)

The Digit-al Dozen Does Fashion: Accessories

Final day of The Digit-al Dozen Does Fashion and today we have accessories! Your outfit isn't complete without the right accessories! Polish being one of them ;)

I started out with two coats of Finger Paints Leonardo Da Vin-Pink. I used a thin layer of HK Girl Top Coat and wait for it to dry. I stamped using OPI Get in the Expresso Lane, the image comes from my MJ XII plate (first time using it!). Ended with another layer of HK Girl Top Coat.

As for the glitter, because what outfit isn't complete without some bling?! This is Owlet. This is a custom made polish that I asked Kevan of Dragon Lacquer to make for me. (Actually this is one of two that was made, more to come later!). I love this glitter! It is two sizes of brown glitter in a clear base. Easy application and lovely formula! And fabulous customer service!

Just love the glitter in Owlet! Thank you so much Dragon Lacquer!

ABC: C is for KleanColor Coffee Addict and Rainbow Polish Chewie

C is for cookie that's good enough for me. Oh um, wait nope, not what C stands for today. But now that's in you head right? Today's polishes totally made my camera go crazy and not focus properly.

I started out with one coat of KleanColor Coffee Addict. Gorgeous color and lovely formula! I then did one thicker coat of Rainbow Polish Chewie. This polish is from the Star Set 2 and is inspired by Chewbacca, everyone's favorite Wookie!
Also used HK Girl Top Coat!

A quick swatch to show you Chewie on a white background. I love this polish! And Rainbow Polish's formula is always perfect!

Untried Polish Challenge: Cheapest AND The Digit-al Dozen Does Tape Manis

Final day of The Digit-al Dozen Does Tape Manis. Phew! I made it! Didn't think I would! ;) I also did the easiest tape mani ever today! That's alright, I love it!

Also today is Untried Polish Challenge: Cheapest. Both of the polish I used are untried but the glitter is the cheapest. It is Hit Polish Nail Lacquer: Like, Gag Me with Glitter! This is my cheapest because I won it! Yep. Hit Polish Nail Lacquer was having a name that polish contest and my name for the polish was chosen! Thank you Hit Polish Lacquer!

This is my base, Joe Fresh Teal. A few Canada trips ago I bought a few Joe Fresh polishes and haven't used them yet. And this one is gorgeous! A shimmer too!

And here is Hit Polish Nail Lacquer: Like, Gag Me with Glitter! It reminded me of the '80s and Valley girls! Hit Polish Nail Lacquer has such amazing polishes! Just look at that glitter! So purdy!

And of course I topped it all off with HK Girl Top Coat! So shiny!

Well, it's Friday so you know what that means. Yep, today was a TGIF: Thank Goodness, Indy Indie Friday!

Untired Polish Challenge: Newest

My newest polish that I used for the Untried Polish Challenge is Hit Polish Lacquer Oatmeal Raisin Cookies. This is two coats and as you can see it is still a bit sheer. But look at that shimmer! Those glitters! The colors! Bah! I love it!

I just love this brand! Her glitters are amazing and unique! And the mini bottles (which I love) last forever and are super cheap! (especially when she has her sales!)

Here it is with three coats. Much better. The only sad thing is that you lose some of the color in the purple glitters because none of them applied on the third coat. But that's ok, I still love it! :)

Untried Polish Challenge: Oldest

Untried Polish Challenge prompt for today is oldest...........crap! I have so many that are older that I haven't used! Double crap! How to narrow it down! Grrr! Well, off to my handy dandy massive Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Collection I go! When I first started getting into polish I was buying this pretty puppies up every time I went to the store! I have so many!

And you know what? I forgot how nice they are to use! I thank Emma of Manicurity in reminding me of the beauty that is Sally Hansen Mint Sorbet. This is two coats, though I could have just used one and been fine.

I then added Rainbow Polish Taffy, one of the older Indies that I have and haven't used! (See what I did there?) This glitter is sweet goodness (again, see what I did there?) Hahaha!

Here is a macro shot of Rainbow Polish Taffy over Sally Hansen Mint Sorbet. Please excuse the bubbles in my top coat. It was a hot day and I had my fan on when I applied HK Girl Top Coat. Totally my fault! But either way I love how the glitter is suspended in the top coat! :)

Untried Polish Challenge: Neutral

Day 4 of the Untried Polish Challenge: Neutral, and have I got a stunner for you! And since it is also Friday = TGIF: Thank Goodness, Indy Indie Friday, it is an Indie Polish! This my lovely Owlets is Contrary Polish: Sand. Oh my goodness is this one of my favorite polishes now!

This polish is so incredibly gorgeous! I looks just like wet sand! This is two coats of Sand and one coat of HK Girl Top Coat.

Sand applied like a dream! The formula is like buttah, like buttah! Sand is part of Contrary Polish's Aint' That A Beach Trio (Summer 2013).

And look at the gold shimmer! A taupey-mud polish with micro black glitter and gold shimmer! Epic win!

You can buy Contrary Polish:

The Digit-al Dozen Does Book Week - Books!

Final day of The Digit-al Dozen Does Book Week and I did a quick mani representing books in general. I love books. Love to read them. Love to collect them. Just love them. And yes, I silently judge you when I find out you don't like to read or like books -- sorry but I do! Books are my soul! Sorry, I'm a bad person for judging.

Uh, how perfect! Gotta through Doctor Who in here somehow right? :)

I used two coats of Dandy Nails Chilled Down. Uh! Why haven't I used this sooner! Oh my goodness! This polish is gorgeous and the formula is superb! Wow! I stamped the books using Konad Black Pearl and Vivid Lacquer VL 003 (one of the reasons I bought this plate!). I attempted to dry and ink pot and quill. (nope, that isn't a dart, I promise!). I mentioned the Doctor Who quote to my sister who then mentioned that I draw a quill and ink pot because the "pen is mightier than the sword!" :)

Just a gorgeous shot of Dandy Nails Chilled Down.
