The Lazy Blogger's 31 DC: Black and White

Black and white. Honestly with the week I've been having I had no inspiration for this one. So I pulled out one of my lovely (got 6) MoYou plates that I won from The Crumpet's Giveaway a while back.

I chose the Sailor Collection, Plate 4. On three of my nails I painted OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls and on my accent nail I painted Finger Paints Black Expressionism. I then stamped using Konad Black on the three nails and Konad White on the other. I then fished out black and white glitters from All That Glitters: Spotty Dottie Light and Spotty Dottie Dark (two fabulous indie glitters) and put them onto the scales. I don't know. And then I used my top coat too soon (NYC in a New York Minute) and it smeared the stamping, even with a gloop and not brush touching nail.

Just showing you the image that I stamped.

So, not thrilled but oh well, life goes on! C'est la vie!

Don't forget to check out Emma's awesome nails over at Manicurity! Because I know she something totally awesome! She always does! :)

Indie Month: Day 2 - All That Glitters Spotty Dottie Dark

Day 2 of my Indie Month brings you All That Glitters Spotty Dottie Dark. Boy is this pretty hard to photograph while in the bottle! Haha! :)

Here is one coat of Spotty Dottie Dark over two coats of Milani White on the Spot. Again, just like Spotty Dottie Light that I should you yesterday, no issues! A little sparse on the bar glitter, but I am alright with that because bar glitter isn't my favorite. :)

Two coats of Spotty Dottie Dark, definitely a top coat! :) So much fun! Reminds me of a dalmatian!

I have one other black full black glitter in my collection but this one is a hundreds better because the application is fabulous and the bottle is jammed pack with glitter!

This polish is still available at her etsy store: All That Glitters for $8.00

Indie Month: Day 1 - All That Glitters Spotty Dottie Light

Welcome to a month of Indies! Woot! A Girl and Her Polish gave me this idea. Yes, I do TGIF: Thank Goodness, Indy Indie Fridays but I have way too many Indies to just keep it to Fridays. And since I keep buying more Indies I thought this would be a good idea so I can keep TGIF for new Indies! :)So these Indies that I am featuring are ones I've had for a while and have not been featured in TGIF. So let's get it started!

Today I am featuring All That Glitters: Spotty Dottie Light. This is one of the first Indies I have ever bought!

Here is one coat of Spotty Dottie Light over two coats of Finger Paints Black Expressionism. This bottle is jammed pack with glitter! So awesome! I didn't have any real issues with this polish. A few glitter placement while applying but I don't consider that a real issue.

This is two coats of Spotty Dottie Light. As you can tell, this is definitely a top coat. :)

Love this polish. It is unique in my collection and is really the only true all white glitter I have! :)

This polish is still available at her etsy store: All That Glitters for $8.00

Spotty Orchid

So I decided to do a quick mani the other day and decided to try some of my untrieds. I did one coat of Joe Fresh Orchid. Orchid is a gorgeous reddish plum with a creme finish. Application was excellent with no problems. I then did one coat each of All That Glitters Spotty Dottie Dark and Spotty Dottie Light. Both bottles are filled to the brim! Application wasn't too bad, the normal glitter placement issues nothing too hard! Most of my glitter wanted to go to the free edge of my nail but as soon as I noticed that I had no problem and quickly got to work. This is with one coat of Seche Vite over it. Sadly some bubbles occurred (probably because of the ceiling fan working overtime!).

Here is a photo of just Joe Fresh Orchid, one coat, on it's own. Kinda splotchy with one coat two would have been better but I was in a hurry and figured since I was covering it up with the Dotties it didn't matter too much! :) Granted, some of those splotches are reflections because it was shiny too!

Nothing to hard about this mani, quick and easy and I got a lot of compliments! Many people are buying these two glitter to get the look of Lynnderella's Connect the Dots. So when I was applying the Spotty Dotties I was singing Pee Wee Herman's Connect the Dots song. Do you remember that song? Why don't I refresh your memory! :)

You are most welcome. :)

Nail Mail: Packages 1 and 2

You've seen this picture before, now lets unveil two of the packages! :) Let's start with the bigger of the manila bubble envelopes. The one in the bottom left corner. What could it be? Actually this one is funny. I ordered these polishes from etsy and the came a memo saying something about Kirsten sent you a message. I got all confused because that's my name and I didn't send myself or anyone else a message! It took me a minute to realize that the owner and creator of All That Glitters is named Kirsten too! Such a great name! :) Well onto the pretties!

Oh yeah! Spotty Dottie Dark and Spotty Dottie Light! Yippee! I'm so excited for these! And you know what? If I combine them I could make it look similar to Connect the Dots! That's one of the reasons I bought these. But I also bought them because I don't have any white glitter and been craving them! And I have no black glitter that has bars! And both of these glitters have bar glitter and then hex glitters of multiple sizes. They are gorgeous! And they are jammed full! There is so much glitter in these bottles it's ridiculous! I am so excited to try these! Go and visit her shop because she has so many amazing glitter polishes! All That Glitters. (Ugh sorry, just realized the picture is a tad bit blurry. Grr! It was overcast when I took this photos)

Onto package 2. We will do the small little white envelope that is located between the two manila ones. This one caused a lot of fuss when it was released and can only be gotten in the lovely UK. There is an amazing lady named Claire from Purple Fairy Dust that took orders and  found hunted tracked down bottle after bottle of this amazing wee little polish! Yep, you guessed it:

Max Factor's Fantasy Fire! Woot! Woot! I'm so excited! And amazed at how itty bitty it is! But it is worth it! I haven't used it yet but I can't wait! But it will be used sparingly! But it will be loved, oh yes, it will be loved! Isn't Claire just friggin' amazing for doing this! Thank you thank you thank you sooooo much! I love love love it! It is definitely worth all the fuss! (sorry for the cruddy blurry picture) (see, even it's awesomeness can't be capture by a camera!) This polish is a close dupe to Clarins 230 (Unicorn Pee). It is a gorgeous color shifting top coat that has red to green (and colors in between) shifts!

The second little manila envelope is the one package that wasn't mine. It is for Debbie from The Crumpet and it was her OPI Ink Suede! And I sent off an amazing epic box of polishes for her today!
