Love Yourself Mani: Barielle U-Concrete-Me and Catrice Million Styles

So today I wanted to use a few of my untrieds. And sadly my pictures didn't work out so nice. :( But I will post them anyways because even though they are crisp pictures and I wasn't able to catch all the subtleness of the polishes, it still is pretty! :)

First I started out with Barielle U-Concrete-Me that I got from my April swap with Yvonne. This might possibly be my new favorite grey! It's a perfect grey creme with no purple undertones! And it went on fabulously! This is two coats.

I then added Catrice Million Styles Holo Que Tal?! that I got from Gwen over at SpaceLife Thoughts. This is a wonderful shimmery color top coat of pink to purple! It was very hard to catch it but I love how icy it made my nails look!

But was I finished yet? Nope!

I then added Catrice Million Styles Godfather of Pearl (also from Gwen) which took the iciness to a whole new level! This is another shimmery topcoat of blue to aqua. Sadly no matter how I took the photo I could catch all the colors of these wonderful polishes! :(

But was I finished yet? Nope!

Accent nail! I decided to try some more rub-ons from American Crafts. Some cute little flowers in my icy landscape! Now this mani didn't turn out how I thought it would, but I still loved it! And in real life the pinks and blues of the Catrice polishes shine through it all and are gorgeous!

A shot of the flower rub-on by American Crafts on my thumb! I thought it was cute! :)

I really liked this mani and wanted to do something for me, that I enjoyed. This is part of the Love Yourself manis. For more information click on this picture or the one in my sidebar to be taken to the facebook group!

LOSTathon: Season 5

Day 5 = Season 5 LOSTicure

Here is my representation of season 5 of LOST:

Thumb: represents the remains (foot with four toes) of the statue of Taweret where Jacob lives. This is also where Jacob dies.
Pointer: RIP Jacob.
Middle: represents Sawyer's name, James "Jim" LaFleur that he takes in 1974-77 when working for the Dharma Initiative.
Ring: represents the Ajira Airways plane that the Oceanic 6 took to get back to the island.
Pinkie: the chain represents the chain that pulls Juliet down the Swan's metal shaft, she falls down the shaft and trapped, hits the bomb with a rock until it explodes. Her death (which occurs a bit later) was really sad because I liked her and Sawyer together and I was sad for Sawyer.

Here are the technicals for the mani:

Thumb: Finger Paints Go van Gogh!, Sally Hansen Deep Blue Sea, China Glaze Ingrid, OPI Skull & Glossbones, and Sally Hansen Silver Sweep.
Pointer: Mayer Disney Villains Ursula 39 and Wet n' Wild Black Creme.
Middle: Essence You Belong to Me, Cheeky image plate CH 14, KleanColor Metallic Sapphire, and Wet n' Wild Black Creme.
Ring: Zoya Sooki and American Crafts Travel Rub-ons.
Pinkie: OPI Sparrow Me the Drama and Sally Hansen Silver Sweep.

What did I love about this season?
-that Jin isn't dead like you thought in the previous season!
-Daniel's and Charlotte's relationship and the story she tells him before she dies about meeting him when she was a child.
-finding out that the smoke monster resides under the temple
-a lot more scenes with Richard
-finding out that Locke isn't really dead....or is he....da da daaaaaaa! :)
-learning more about Jacob

What did I hate about this season?
-I didn't really like the off island scenes.
-Daniel getting shot by his own mother when she was younger! (mind trip!)
-the whole scene with Juliet being pulled down the shaft (poor Sawyer!)
-Ben killing Jacob

Nail Art Tutorial: Rub-Ons!

So I was told by Arielle, from PAA, that you can use scrapbooking rub-ons on your nails! Whaaaaaaaat!? Now I can use some of my scrapbooking supplies that are all collecting dust! Best. Day. Ever!

So I attempted and I succeeded! (see above picture) So now, I will show you, my dear readers, how to do it too! :)

Start with a base color. I chose to use Essence Vampire's Love in The Dawn is Broken. This is a gorgeous light grey polish with a slight shimmer and micro black glitter. The overall effect is a lovely speckle! The formula was wonderful and it applied nicely! This is no clean-up! Yes!

Next add a top coat. I used Seche Vite.

Find your rub-ons

I used American Crafts (one of my favorite companies) mini Marks in Traveler Accents. The above pictures show you the packaging, name, and the different images in the package. There are three different sizes in this package of rub-ons. The smallest being on the top.

Showing you the different sizes. I used the images in the top row.

For those who haven't used rub-ons before there is a backing to them. It is a separate piece of paper, sometimes even tissue-paper like. Keep this with the rub-on until you are ready to use it! Otherwise your rub-on might stick where you don't want it!

Cut out your image that you want to use. I chose two for an accent nail for each hand. Notice I also cut out the backing paper.

Next (and I'm a doofus for not actually taking a picture of this!), but you just remove the backing and place rub-on onto your nail. And voila! You are done! Mine were so sticky that I didn't really need to rub them one my nail. As soon as the rub-on touched my nail it attached! Easy-peasey!

Here's my other hand and the suitcase rub-on. I added a topcoat of Seche Vite to keep the rub-on on!

I can't wait to use up more of my scrapbooking rub-ons! Oh, and since I did this a few days ago and have already changed my mani I thought I would let you know that they come off with normal nail polish remover without any problems or long periods of scrubbing! Extra bonus! :)

What do you think? Is this something you would ever try?
