Sat-Art-Day Club: Brands

This is The Sat-Art-Day Club. The Sat-Art-Day Club is a weekly challenge which posts on Saturdays. Today we have chosen Brands or Logos as our theme and I chose to go with Brands! And what brands do we have here? Why stamping plates! :)

I really loved how this turned out. And I got to use a different part of my stamp plates! :) The brands are: Bundle Monster, Essence, QA plates (ok, not really a brand per se but Cheeky did not want to stamp to save my life!), and Konad.

I used Konad Black to stamp these images. My base is Essence Grey-T to Be Here which I used as my palate cleanser on Thursday! :)

Halloween Challenge and Sat-Art-Day Club: Scary Movie and Halloween

Today is a two for one! For Halloween Challenge from Crumpet's Nail Tarts it is a Scary Movie and for The Sat-Art-Day Club it is Halloween. So I figured my scary movie could be used for Halloween, right? Well, to late! :)

Now, if you have already figured out what the scary movie is then I applaud you and think you are the coolest person ever! This movie is one of the scariest Disney movies of all times. Yep, Disney made a scary movie. Don't know what it is yet?

Yep, The Watcher in the Woods. Freaky movie! And the alternate original ending that you can find on DVD...what the heck! Freaky! :)

So my mani represents the time when the name Karen is written backwards on the window and also the triangle that shows up in broken mirrors and windows. Spooky! I used OPI Skull & Glossbones as my base with Finger Paints Black Expressionism for the writing.

If you haven't seen this movie you need to! :) And just a few more creepy clips! :) Enjoy!

Sat-Art-Day Club: Frogs or Reptiles

So, I missed last week's challenge, but I'm back this week! This is The Sat-Art-Day Club. The Sat-Art-Day Club is a new weekly challenge which posts on Saturdays. Today we have chosen Frogs or Reptiles as our theme, I chose reptiles. I was stumped for a bit on this. I decided to look through my stamping plates and came across these two plates. But then I paused and thought...uh, wait is a turtle a reptile? Hahahaha! Blonde moment of the day! :)

I used China Glaze Westside Warrior for the base of three fingers. Catrice Lost in Mud is the accent nail base. I then stamped using Essie Penny Talk for the shell using Cheeky plate CH11. For my accent nail I used Klean Color Metallic Green and Salon Express SE21 for the little turtle (who decided to stamp off-centered. Grr!) But it still didn't look quite right. Then I decided to add China Glaze Matte Magic and voila! I love how it turned out! It gives it a bit of a leathery look. :)

Oh, and I love how Klean Color Metallic Green is still sparkly even with the Matte Magic!

Here it is before China Glaze Matte Magic. Still pretty but I love it with the Matte Magic better! :)

Oh and PS, I heard so many good things about these Essie Mirror Metallics. Well, this one did not stamped easily. You can see how I had to go over parts on my middle and pinky because the image didn't pick up. But I am not giving up hope yet. I will try this polish again!

Sat-Art-Day Club: Tarts!

So today is day one of a new challenge! This is The Sat-Art-Day Club. The Sat-Art-Day Club is a new weekly challenge which posts on Saturdays. And today we have chosen Tarts! We chose this because we are all part of the facebook group Crumpet Nail Tarts

When tart was selected for our title there were many different definitions thrown around. A tart could be a pastry shell spread with jam and them filled with a sponge like filling. Or a tart could be a loose woman. I chose to incorporate both of these definitions! :)

Here is a picture of a Bakewell Tart for reference. I'm assuming you all know what a loose woman looks like so no photo is needed! ;)

I decided to have my loose woman where fishnet stockings and a lacey garter. My base for the loose woman tart is Zoya Shay. I then stamped using Konad Black and  Bundle Monster BM310 (fishnet) and BM323 (garter). I created my tart pastry with using China Glaze Kalahari Kiss as the base with OPI Wooden Shoe Like to Know sponged over it. The glaze is Klean Color Metallic White and the jam is Klean Color Chunky Holo Fuchsia.

This was really fun to do and I hoped you enjoyed my tarts! :)
